Bloody hell, that's terribly tragic news and not fair at all! Sorry to hear that Dan, sincere condolences. One positive part I see is that Rob has some great support in friends like you and Jo, being there for her and soon for the baby in these tragic times!

Of course, they will be a bit louder. Not as loud as the test pipes, but louder.

HFC would be a bit quieter than the tail pipes. It really depends on how loud you want the exhaust. See this topic for a deal on the HFC if you're not in a hurry:

Good news! If I was in your shoes, I'd put some of the money in crypto currency, nothing silly, just a few thousands. You'll be able to afford a lot more than £40k-£50k car in a couple of years, looking at how the market goes, specially after the correction we had last 2 days.

T&C - I haven't read the whole thread, but hopefully our offer helps. Well, it's nearly Xmas, isn't it? How about we sponsor some of the items needs doing on your car and you fit these parts yourself, would that help to keep the car? I'm thinking: StopTech F+R pads, TORQEN Undertray (as you have bolts missing on the OEM one I suppose?), drive and aux belts and droplinks. You only need quite basic tools for these parts to be fitted. Perhaps another trader can help a brother out and sponsor some discs?
