Right, after heavily or should I say heavenly modifying the car this weekend, left home from RTP about 22:30 last night. On the way home, just before joining A406 felt the car acting a bit weird, I thought there is something wrong with the rear suspension so I stopped at Brent Cross under the bridge, by the Vauxhall garage to check the car.
Obviously, it was pouring down. Heard some hissing behind the front passenger wheel and seen some oil on the 10cm puddle I was into. Immediately I realised it was one of the connections we did for the gearbox oil cooler. Called RAC, they've passed the job to about 4 other companies. About 3:00am one very nice and low platform turns out and takes us back to RTP.
Put the car back on the ramp, removed passenger wheel and wheel arch liner and seen one of the OEM hoses split. So I need to drain all of the oil and fill new oil in. Easy job you would say...
The trouble is Nissan doesn't sell the 7AT gearbox oil to the public in small bottles, only in 20 litres barrels, which is £330 inc VAT and they need to order it in. I need the Genuine Nissan Fluid 999MP-MTS00P Nissan Matic-S.
Awaiting reply from Sly @ Keizer Motors now, otherwise I will have to buy the whole bloody barrel.
Some photos from this weekend fun:
On the way home few hours go, lovely weather, what storm?
