    313 gt / roadster

This might be of interest http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3899273.htm Its the older model but low mileage with the Motordyne plenum spacer and VeilSide V3 kit

    standard RAYS

I have a front pair of Rays without tyres in excellent condition. Any offer considered!
  4. Mine is up for sale if you're interested: 350Z GT Roadster 2005 with VeilSide V3 bodykit, 1000's spent on bodywork Full ad here: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3899273.htm I would consider a cash offer around 10k, but 7k is too little.
  5. I've got an identical set off eBay but a different brand logo. Very easy to install the wheel sensors during a tire change (the garage actually fitted them for free). The unit itself is powered from the cigarette lighter but I had it hard wired and mounted under and to the left of the steering wheel. 5 months on still very happy with it. Picks up sensors within 20seconds. Options of Temp in C or F, Pressure in Bar or PSi, and option to check battery voltage. There's a mode which alternates automatically every few seconds between temp and pressure displays which is what I leave it on. It picks up drops in pressure very quickly and beeps loud below about 24psi. Batteries in each sensor are supposed to last 7 years... I bought these after I punctured a front tyre and didn't realise until it had shredded to pieces and I nearly ended up in a tree!
  6. Some more pics. Sorry I took a while, deleted all the plates - just realised that was pretty pointless..
  7. I'm happy without the arches now, and I was beginning to worry about the cost of a new set of alloys. Quite like the ones on there now although I'm considering some forged Rays link to my post on forged rays Thanks for all the info on Rik, wish I'd done more research on the forum before buying!
  8. Saw a guy in an Azure Blue 350z turning into Yarm train station today, didn't catch the plate but he flashed his headlights at me
  9. More pics from the build: My car naked The parts layed out: The front bumper - it had a massive dip in the middle and the fitting around the reflector was horrendous. Needed a lot of work doing The rear bumper, also awful fitting and need a massive amount of work. There was also a massive unexplained gap in the licence plate area that had to be filled. And finally the arches - horrendous fitting. The only option would have been to cut them into pieces, stick them to the car, fibreglass over the bits, use the piece to create a mould and then make a new set of arches from that mould!! Please tell me more about these guys that make these kits, they've cost me an absolute fortune in additional labour!!
  10. Wow looks like they had a really bad rep, do tell me more about your past experiences with them. I'm going to put a complaint forward to mad motors to hope get a refund, but also so theyre aware of the problem and stop using those guys as suppliers. I'm very happy with the way the car has turned out, so I probably wont go for arches in the future. Also, my wife will kill me if I spend any more on bodywork! I may as well post the pics here to show you what I mean.. more pics coming soon (5 minutes or so)..
  11. Finally got my body kit fitted by the guys at Falcon Performance (R35LEE). They managed to do an excellent job with the parts given, albeit at an expense. Many thanks I originally got the parts from Mad Motors online but the fitment was terrible. We spent more money on repairing the kit than the cost of the kit itself. The wide arches were completely the wrong shape and couldn't be fitted, so I will be arranging to return them. Mad Motors got these parts from Prestige Styling and Performance, formerly known as UV worldwide - anyone know about these guys (Rick and Graham)?? I will make another post at some point with the full details and pictures of the project as it was coming together to show you what I mean. In the meantime, here are pics of it all done
  12. Now on eBay for 10 days http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rays-Forged-Alloys-8-0x18-Front-Pair-350z-NOT-REFURBED-/250812497307?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3a6596fd9b#ht_700wt_922
  13. And here is the rear set (on the right) compared to the front. There is a noticeable colour difference. The guy selling them hadn't noticed the difference (so he says..) Watch out for refurbs!
  14. Thanks, will look into that. These are the alloys I have:
  15. Hi guys, Bought a set of forged rays alloys today but the rears look refurbed so returned them. However, the front alloys are in excellent condition and are not refurbed. I am now looking for a pair of rear (8.5) alloys to match (not refurbed!) or I am offering for sale the front alloys (8.0) for the best reasonable offer. I will post pics soon I think refurbs look awful!
  16. I bought a copper motordyne plenum spacer for the 350z but didn't have a torque wrench to fit it. So, took the parts down to the garage to get fitted and they're asking for £200+vat! Is this about right??

    Going wide

So say if I get at set of 20x10 all round would I need a negative offset to bring the wheels out? Not keen on 60mm spacers!

    Going wide

Hi I'm in the process of getting a new bodykit for the Z , but I'm a bit stuck when it comes to choosing alloys to match. I happy choosing a design, but my main concern is getting the correct size wheels that will sit flush with the body. I'm finding offsets a little confusing and I am not keen on getting spacers. I had a word with my local alloy shop but they seemed surprisingly useless at this (or maybe I wasn't explaining it right). I'm happy with 18's but I want them extra wide to match the Veilside VS3 wide arch kit (example below). I also have GT spec with the Brembo brake kit. Can anyone suggest some safe sizes (front and rear) which also look good. I'm sure going wide at the rear isnt a problem but I imagine going too wide at the front could cause problems (with steering perhaps? - maybe I worry too much!) Thanks for your help guys! p.s. I promise not to order these! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=43511&hilit=advan
  19. If anyones after some Gunk engine degreasant (500ml), I've got loads knocking around and selling for cheap (somehow convinced myself to bulk buy the stuff but I dont clean out my engine bay that often!) For you guys, £4 a bottle (+P&P) - might just bring a load down to the Wales or Lakez meet if you like.
  20. Ah I was about to post about this problem but you guys beat me to it. Guess I shouldn't be putting the hood down at -5c.. Gets stuck about halfway through yes I'm aware that hood down in such cold weather sounds ludicrous but I only just got my 350 and I want that hood down!
