  1. I’ll have a sniff around when the order book opens, mibees they’ll do a Champions League type launch .  Stang stays tho, more fun than a funnery:D

Been toying with a MX5 for ages, bit this might meet the need for another 2 seater

  2. Just been watching the complete covidiots that have been travelling 50+ miles to, essentially, go for a walk and, “feed the ducks”.

Without cognisance to where they are going to sh1t or p1ss, as most, if not all, public conveniences are closed, unable to wash their hands, without face coverings and with little thought to the communities where they are going.

Ignorant bastarts at best, culpable knuts at worse.

Stay local ffs, don’t be a f’kin drain on resources, at best, or a spreader at the other end of the scale.  The level of selfishness is jaw dropping.

  3. Just now, Wayne370Z said:

Was £200 paid separately? They tend to do the refunds in the manner and amounts that payments were made so not necessarily the full amount altogether in one lump sum.

DFDS did this with my payments.  Deposit paid first followed by the balance a few days later.  Random and arbitrary amounts of money withheld is utterly unacceptable and should be accompanied by an explanation, so it can be challenged.

Right, here is the advice and some useful information if you are lulled into a false sense of security by the stories about Tui.  Which? applied pressure to Tui and they EVENTUALLY changed their policy.

Have a read through the article and use the useful links to get THE BEST advice, as you’ll quickly find out not ALL tour operators or travel companies are reading off the same page.

You MAY be lucky if you are with Tui, that remains to be seen on re-scheduled holidays at a later date if you rebook and then decide against and want a refund.

Do not rely on a few refund stories by one operator!

  5. Most are probably aware of this, I read it in last months Which? magazine and the general gist is that, if your holiday company/travel agent offer you a credit note that is ‘enhanced’ ie credit note plus, say 20% extra to spend on a holiday next year and, you agree to it, then later change your mind, you will be liable NOT to receive a refund of cash.  This is called an ‘incentivised’ deal, which my general interpretation is, it’s a new contract you are entering into.

Just something to check up on before agreeing a credit note.

My own experience has been not too bad, DFDS ferries offered me a credit note, with 20% off any future sailing if booked by December and used by next June.  I contacted them to say no thanks, money back please.  I was refunded a week later.  The one thing I’m having trouble with is those bastarts at Ticketmaster, who have so far refused a refund on the 6hrs of Spa as it’s not been cancelled but postponed.  I will percivere on this one though.

  6. On top of all the other jobby we are all dealing with just now, we had to admit wee Rosie to the University of Glasgow small animal hospital yesterday evening @ 6 o’clock.  She’s unable to urinate and initial investigation shows a mass pressing on her urethra.  We are now waiting on the results of more detailed and conclusive tests.  It’s not looking good but I’ll never give up hope.

She’s comfortable and has a catheter in at the moment which has perked her up.  We will get, hopefully, Monday evening, clearer results without surgery, however an inconclusive result will put us in more of a quandary.

Big shout out to Rosie, my best pal and a lovely wee creature :throb:   All prayers gratefully received
