  1. Paintwork done, here’s a few shots of mine, bodyshop sending me more detailed pics of the breakdown.  So, ‘new’ second hand bonnet, MMD-V Series hood scoop, full front end, wings all freshly painted, doors and flanks blended and whole care machine polished.

Theres a, hopefully, minor issue with the front light connections (mostly indicator related) which is being looked at by an auto electrician tomorrow.

  3. As a few on here are finding out, as I have, the Mustang is a fantastic GT, better than either of my 370’s in that respect, would also be as capable on the B roads as the 350/370.

Its definitely not suited to a track without a sizeable investment, whereas a 350/370 with a little tinkering is quite well suited for track work.  These days, what with the state of our road infrastructure, congestion (much more amplified in most of England) and generally poor driving skills of most road users, there’s not a lot of room for either.

Given an Alpine Pass or continental motorways, the Mustang comes into its own, the 370 certainly, just fails to fully tick that box because of the harsh ride and levels of road noise.  Anyhoos, that’s what I mostly use my car for now.

The 370, for me was more a ‘round the doors’ type fun ride.

  4. I’d have my Nismo back in a heartbeat.  As a second plaything, not as savage as my Mustang.  My RX8 was the most usable on UK roads as something that you could use every ounce of its capability.

Would I buy another Nissan?  As others have said, nothing in my price range would tempt me.

I’d buy another Mustang tho :teeth:

  5. I concur on the comfortable GT qualities, trans European or commuting, all good.  While I’ve got the full FRPP Track suspension kit, it’s still very comfortable, I might change this out for some Pedders adjustable coilovers this year tho, just to give the option of an even smoother ride.

With the X Force Varex Smartbox engine Back Exhaust, I’m neighbour friendly in the mornings now as well.  Facelift models have the option of an active exhaust and magnaride tho.

Nothings fell off yet and no rattles to report, the panel gaps will annoy some people, Ford quality rather than Audi , but pretty well put together otherwise.

mine goes in for the oil cooler swap out tomorrow, not a necessity, more peace of mind for our upcoming Euro trips.  Getting some paintwork and a new look at the front end as well done, oh and new Stoptech discs and pads all round as well.  A joy to spend money on

  6. Irn Bru has done an organised trip the last few years, so I’m sure he’ll offer his experience and some tips.

I’ve did it a few times and know most of it really well, my top tip would be to do it anti clockwise, up the east coast first.  No need to worry about super unleaded, plenty in Thurso and Ullapool.  Venture into the interior if you’ve time, awesome roads to stretch the legs in.

From Tongue round it’s a bit tight in places, mostly single track with a LOT of idiots (mostly camper vans) that don’t know how to use passing places properly.

other than that, take your time and enjoy

If you’ve not did the Peebles triangle, Hamilton via Biggar - Peebles - Selkirk - Moffat, back up the old A74, a great practice and will test your Zeds and your capabilities :teeth:

Agreed!  The bastarts that like tae steal them seem tae love them

I've had umpteen sets stolen, stick with plastic now :surrender:

  8.

......the increase in rogue social media interference in lawful elections, hand in hand with incumbents full knowledge, unduly influencing results.

Cnuts in charge on both sides of the Atlantic.

Russia conquering the Middle East (lots of shots fired) and most of the west (without a shot fired)

oh and “austerity” for the poor in the UK in particular

  9. The plastic parts, front bumper especially, are hard to get right, even Nissan struggled from the factory on this.  There are a few on here that had matching problems with this.

One of the detailing geeks will be along soon with recommendations of polish, wax and cleaning regimes.

Storm White (pearlescent white), is the most gorgeous white on any car out there.  I’m such a fan that our 2019 Mazda 3 is pearlescent white, stunning when polished and waxed up, in all light.

  10. Summed up this morning by one journalist when discussing the Corbyn election  roadshow, his young enthusiastic supporters only engaged with themselves to the point where they monumentally talked themselves into thinking other people liked Corbyn and forget that there was an electorate to convince.

If it wasn’t so serious that a compulsive liar is now running the show, it’d be a good laugh.

Lib Dem’s shot themselves in the foot in 2010 and have never recovered, absolute dotards for dismissing the leave vote in England and coming out with ‘we’ll just rescind Brexit’.

Lets see how it pans out when the WA is done early next year then have to face into what comes next, I really don't think people who voted took any time to read about all the other stuff that they need to deal with over the next 5 years.

Corbyn won it for him, Johnson is still a lying coward

  12.  Anyone who thinks being a member of the EU caused austerity is naive to think that’s why people voted to leave.

Austerity policies by the conservative government caused austerity, which in turn left the weak, the poor, the vulnerable and those without hope of a better future, through no fault of their own, looking for an out.  Farage and co, along with the hard right sold the idea that Europe was the enemy, used disinformation, lies, underhand targeting of social media, racism, fear of immigration etc, etc, etc.  So the disaffected voted for what was sold as the solution, without a clue as to what might happen.

No one, not one person can tell me, you or anyone else, in what way they will be better off leaving the EU, not a soul.  Three years now, I’m still none the wiser what any benefit of leaving the EU holds.

They've held up two boxes, one full of useful things like medicine, regulation, employment and human rights, free movement and trade with your neighbours and as a block to your advantage, £20

The other box was full of, well nothing substantial, nothing of use, nothing of fact, but they promise, once you look under all the trash, you’ll find a genie with three wishes and a bag of magic beans that will solve all.  The price?  We’ll tell you once you’ve committed to buy.

you decide for yourself which box is leave and which is remain.

Johnson is a tool, a liar, a philanderer, a racist, misogynistic, did I mention a liar?  If that kind of leadership is inspiring to you enough to vote for it, God help us.

  13. ^^ your opinion, not a fact IMO   Don’t take yer baw hame as a conclusion

Anyhoo's, we’re getting a new gang of bandits tae rob the lucrative WCML, First/Avanti, to be known as Avanti, which the MD of First told us was Italian for ‘forward’, he’s such a good egg that one

All the Brexit supporting parties and voters must be delighted at all this European ownership of rail franchises, Italian, French, Dutch and German and all mostly state run :teeth:
