  1. Welcome to the forum. Good luck finding a z, you will have no regrets. If you find one in the next month you should come along and join us for the Welsh weekend viewtopic.php?f=19&t=38862
  2. Welcome to the forum. I bet this week is going to feel like it's going sooooooo slowly.
  3. Lovely work on the car, nice job with the exhaust pipes. I've been doing mine today, looks like you had a job there as they were pretty black before. Out of interest what did you use to get them like that? Mighty impressed.
  4. Welcome, good luck finding your bits.
  5. Congratulations you will love it. I will have to look out for it when I'm next in Hereford.
  6. Welcome to the forum. Good luck with the z hunt.
  7. Just opened the mail this morning to find a letter from the police with a notification to prosecute for speeding. Omg nearly @#$% myself. Only had the car 3 weeks . quick change of underwear and a reread of the letter shows it relates to my old car that I part exchanged for the z. Pheeeeeeew, looks like someones been a bad boy in my old motor. Rather releived At the moment.
  8. Sounds like a noisy thrust release bearing. Very common, nothing to worry about. Lots of posts about it and the search function is your friend See viewtopic.php?f=10&t=39680 as an example.
  9. Doesn't sound like the one. There are plenty of nice z'd out there for the money don't settle for something you may regret, keep looking till you find the right one.
  10. Excellent idea I shall have to try that
  11. Very nice, I like those wheels. Where did you get them?
  12. Must admit i thought the readout had broken too but it stayed at +37 for a couple of miles, then stabilised at 35. By the time I got home after about 80 miles I got approximate 33. Mind you getting less than 20 is a lot more fun.
  13. very nice work there on the detailing. Lovely colour too. Seems there are a fair number of us in surrey these days
  14. yeah i was definitely thinking i should get a petrol loyalty card, im going to get to know the garage owner as well as the local chinese take away at this rate. Mind you i drove back from Hereford the other day and on the motorway i got 37.7mpg back at one point, was pretty impressed. Listening to all the talk of mods it has got me thinking. I'm sure at the last z meeting people were sponsored by scorpian exhausts they all seem to recommend them. May have to look into it. May need to fork out on the roof first though. Good luck with the exhaust animal
  15. That's quite a list, looking forward to seeing the results.
  16. Would love to make the Saturday but I have a wedding to attend on the Saturday in aberystwyth. You never know I may find a bridesmaid to make up the +1 for Sunday
  17. Still can't stop smiling about my new little z. Feel like a kid putting down the windows all the time so I can hear that lovely exhaust note. lovely girl at work came over the other day to admire it, felt great. Then i popped in to halfords to buy yet more cleaning products for the little z and a young kid walked out with his dad saw the car and said "wow dad look at that". Gotta love those moments. So glad I joined the 350 party it really makes an impression. Can't wait to give her a proper outing in wales in a months time. Hope lots sign up to attend.
  18. Cerealuk I wouldn't necessarily panic, the noise you mention is consistent with a noisy thrust release bearing - see thread viewtopic.php?f=10&t=39680. If you are worried though it may be worth checking out but it seems common to the car.
  19. Welcome to the forum, nice little motor you have there. Bad luck with the keying
  20. Good luck with the new z, looking forward to the pics

  22. Friend of mine had a car accident as the car behind him drove into the back of his motor. He contacted the insurance call centre (non uk) and said "he was in a steam of traffic and the car behind hit him". They asked how much water damage there was from the stream........god help us, and people wonder why call centres get grief.
