Oil on the plugs,may be a ring,would not drive it far if attall,either way it sounds major.surely there must of been more signs,that much oil in the pots it must be running bad or smoking,could also be the head,if your mechanic has to send your moter to a main dealer he imo should not be working on it,hope it gets sorted.

Think is about £35,flat fee i think,sold a couple of motors last year on there,got a bad rep but i find it the best to buy & sell.

Yes ide look at cars 10% over budget,if you like it make your offer & if he turns it down give him your number walk away but tell the offer is open if he changes his mind,not in the same ball park but i looked at a car for someone,it was up for£450,i offered £200 walked away & 10 days later he rang & took the offer,buyers market at the mo,imo the best value zeds about are the 05/55 jdm's.

Andy or mw tec.agree with 15mm front & 20mm back,i tried 20x25 but imo my car felt & looked better with the 15x20 combo,dont think andy does the 15mm but i maybe wrong.

No i will try & find my paperwork,had the clifford in my van&supra,my fitter advised against it but i thought i knew best,had warning chirp if you went within 6 inches of moter + motion sensors,went of at least 3 times a wk but never went of when the toe rags got under my van & cut my cats off .Had 2 606's rate them but on advice went for the sigma as i was told the sigma was just as good but less money, OT Had the auto start on my clifford,showing off in front of my mate it auto started(left it in reverse) & backed into his motor,i looked very stupid

Theres a few things i do to judge the market value of a motor im looking to buy,first its do a national search on auto trader web,put in the age & max miles you want & the search will show loads of cars,that will give you an average,also do a detailed advanced search on ebay of completed items,the ones in the green are cars that have sold,this shows what the cars are making,the last thing is talk to a helpfull dealer & ask him what they pay for the model your after in a trade in,the trade in figure will be about the lowest your pay for 1 but it gives you a base line,the closer you get to the baseline the better deal you get,i would not buy from a main dealer unless the car still has manufacture warranty ie under 3 years old but that just me,but like you said i car is worth what buyer is willing to pay for it,good luck with the search

clifford are yankie crap, loads of gimmicks very little substance ,606 are pretty good but i prefer the sigma cat 1(toad own sigma)if your near surrey i can get the sigma's fitted for £200,these are ipinions of toad & sexton fitters.

Love the kumho's,great value,agree there soft & i found they wear quick but great wet n dry grip.

Pistonhead cars seem over priced,ive bought 4 out of my last 5 motors from ebay,got some bargains,you must view first & be prepaired to travel,hpi & get it inspected,autotrader is worth a look but not the books,search the auto trader web site but alls search national,even if your not prepaired to travel 300miles it gives you an overall picture of values,you do get some come back from dealers but the prices will be at least 25%more,bought a few at auctions but would not buy a zed there unless looking for a cat3/4

Not a great fan of the falkens,ive got them on mine,its only my opinion as i know there rated on here but there not much up on budget tyres,there pretty good value & do a job,they will need a few hundred miles to bed in, sounds more like over inflated to me.

After my next abbey visit i think thats it on engine,then,get round to the brakes & suspen next year

plenum spacer & uprev was done a few wks ago,great mod & well pleased.

Not sure on the hr,with low miles the back box must be £150 +,cant see the y peice has much value as most would prefer a motordyne or stillen,i saw you were thinking of selling,zed is a money pit but great fun
