  1. CS is in Leicester who have a good reputation I'm led to believe. There is a couple in Derby as well that I've heard recommended. Search, there's a huge thread on garages.
  2. Well, I cleaned my car yesterday, took about 5 hours because I wanted to take my time... Was absolutely shattered, so unfit. I was impressed by most of the products, thought the wax and lime prime were amazing, really made it shine. The drying towel I bought was great too, soaked all the water up twice over with no problems. I was a bit disappointed with the clay, didn't do as much as I thought it would but it just shows my paintwork is probably in a worse state then I thought. After cleaning it, I can see the imperfections more than ever... Think it needs a professional polish to get rid of some of the bits... I'm planning on getting a kit so that will require a spray anyway so will hold off on that until I know what I'm doing. The red mist bottle didn't spray either so I had to use another bottle which didn't so much spray as it did squirt which made it a little harder... Can't believe how much I had to buff the red mist, was hard work. I only let the wax cure for a bout 5 hours because I was going out and I knew it was going to rain, which it did. All in all, was a good day and a good learning experience. One thing I was going to ask, do you wash your drying towel, microfibre towels and applicators after each was or leave it for a couple? I'm guessing the applicators don't need washing as they will be used with the same products anyway.
  3. Bought the Maguiars Lamb Wool mitt, Next day delivery, sorted. Hopefully it will come before 5pm this time .
  4. I got the products... I thought I ordered a mit.... But I didn't! Is the Halfords one any good or are they all the same?
  5. Thanks for that! I just forgot to put the drying bit in but was going to do it. I'm borrowing a pressure washer to do the initial rinse then will use an open ended hose for the others. Cheers for the tips on the wax . Just waiting for them to arrive, I was told they will be here today but I need to leave for work at 1245 latest .
  6. Now for my question, it was regarding the order in which I wash it, may sound stupid but want to get it right. I believe it goes a little something like this: Rinse. Wash with Shampoo. Rinse. Clay with Last Touch. Rinse? Lime Prime Wax Detailer Not to sure whether I rinse or even maybe wash again after clay but I believe the rest is right. Can I clay everything, windows and wheels included? Is a grit guard completely necessary? I forgot to buy a couple, obviously will be doing the two bucket method. Cheers.
  7. I'll p/x my air filter for injen... Did you not use it on your car? I may buy the ings bumper and Plenum spacer too.
  8. Ive changed it for a mild clay now you bunch of scare mongerers . Ive haven't bought too much to be fair. I'm posting on my phone at work, will post later to ask a few questions I have.
  9. Ive bought a load of stuff and will just give it a go on Friday when I'm off work. Ive bought some maguires aggressive clay because there is tree sap and what looks like bird droppings that I want to get off, nothing major but can see it. I bought that drying towel aswell thats on offer, about 100 5* ratings so must be good. Will probably take me all day and make my back ache but looking forward to it .
  10. Biggy, Is the Lime Prime instead of polish? or is it polish? I put a basket together and it's coming out at £150 . I guess it will last me quite a while.
  11. Hey, Not at all experienced in all this detailing stuff but was wondering if someone could put a quick list together for me. I'm not looking at spending too much and just essentials really. I need a good drying towel, wash mitt and some microfibre towels. I currently have Autoglym Shampoo, Polish, Fast Glass and a Protection. I don't know whether this stuff is any good if you lot will recommend I buy some better stuff. Apart from the above I'm looking at getting Clay bar, maybe a tyre dressing and some wax. Well, at least I think that's about right to get me started, if anyone can point me in the right direction, would be much appreciated! Cheers .
  12. Try it the other way round, bet you make more distance then he did.
  13. For the reasons hes said!!!!! He wasn't asking himself!
  14. Ahh, should of looked in to it a bit more, didn't realise they sourced them from Japan. Do you know if any traders on here will be able to get hold of them?
  15. If I were to go for the Work's I would just pay up the price to get them from the UK, Only £900. The Weds Sport's on the other hand are £1500 for the 18's and more for the 19's (+ Spacers). Need to make a decision, It's roughly £400 for a set of Falken 452's isn't it?
  16. The website I've been looking at which seems to be the only one supplying them in the UK have 19x10 ET+42 and 19x9 ET+35, so would need spacers too, my poor wallet would feel extremely light! Great football team!
  17. Thinking of getting the Weds Sport SA-67R's now in Blue Light Chrome. Money coming in two days! . More expensive but I believe they are superior to the Work's, lighter too. 18x10 ET+15 for Rears and 18x9 ET+20 for Fronts sound good? Or would you go for 18x10 ET+15 all round?
  18. I need to learn how to do the LED's, would look so much better with all blue, my HU has a blue theme too.

    Oh dear

I understand your reasons behind not wanting her to get one but you should rise above it and help her find one... OR view each zed with her and point out faults and problems until she gives in and buys something else. Tough choice .
  20. Do they offer the rear seat conversion as well?
  21. The satisfaction of owning a Zed far outweighs the additional running costs, go for it! I don't think it's nearly as bad as people make out. I was given the same looks before I bought mine, however I average at 30MPG (10 Less than before - Does 400 miles like my last car (Bigger tank)), £225 Tax (£50 More than before) and insurance was the same. Hardly bank breaking in my opinion but obviously depends entirely on your situation.
  22. I installed an after market Pioneer head unit a couple of weeks ago, I had the usual trouble of fitting the cables round the back etc. and got extremely frustrated and just wanted the thing in. Anyway, as a result the dash isn't flush at the top. Now, I have the GPS signal cable coming out the top of the dash (just behind the trip) and the microphone for the handsfree coming out the side, this could be the problem. So, to the people who have similar units, where do you run the mic and gps signal? I was going to run the mic up the trim but haven't got the faintest idea how to do that. Also, I believe I am short of screws, I haven't attached the HU to the Dash trim, if that makes sense. I basically put the HU in first, screwed it in then fitted the dash trim on top of that. Having said that, it's flush at the bottom so don't believe that's the issue. Any advice would be brilliant!
