  1. Look pretty much like rota force to me, but I personally am not a fan, don't like how flush the face is. Similar style, but much much nicer imho, advan rs. http://forums.nicoclub.com/new-wheels-t486877.html
  2. You don't know how to drive docwra Your silvia, it had like 60 horses right?
  3. ????? Don't worry, dave often has senior moments
  4. Supernatural is a better wax, but I still personally prefer victoria concours which is very soft. There are a lot of better waxes out there but it really gets diminishing returns.
  5. What, you mean you don't apply power liberally on mid corner? Maybe I saw exiting a corner No posts of mine were supposed to be rude or offensive, but i'd certainly consider some posts from others to be rude/offensive
  6. Exactly why it needs better tyres to put that extra power down
  7. Maybe so, but not when there's no grip to be found. Didn't he mention loose soil/chippings? I won't list what tyres i'm running and somehow I don't see why i'd post it up here either, maybe I'd want to be insulted or accused about tyre options or brakes even when I admit responsability? That's where the difference lies, it can be used as a daily also, for that where it spends 99% of the time stuck in traffic, who gives an ass what tyres it's running?
  8. Only michelins can stand up to you ricey
  9. I really do think some people have a bit inflated the performance of the zed as stock, maybe if it's charged it's a different matter.
  10. They're about the same price as the ps2s were? The ps2s had lovely feel and predictability though, would have supersports if they're as good.
  11. There are a lot of tyres out there which are worse than the re40s, yet people don't crash and burn on those. I was running falken ze912s at the rear, no names at the front, the only issue I ever had was that corner and a roundabout, but I knew how shite they were so I drove accordingly. That must have been for like a year, but I never had any accidents Simple, he oversteered a bit, chances are it had nothing to do with the tyres from the sounds of it, more the conditions. Tyres are not an absolute, they won't find grip where there is none to be had. There's always somewhere to apportion blame when something goes wrong, but in this case he's held his hands up and admitted it may have been himself to blame, yet some people have to jump on the tyres bandwagon or rub some bullshit in about how he's a @*!# driver? I hope none of you ever post up a thread like this. @*!# happens, get over it.
  12. Have you tried no name tyres in the wet? Screw accelerating, try taking any mild corners with a mild camber In the wet, like, 15mph was too fast, at 5mph it stopped understeering I'm not saying for one second i'd run the re40s at a track day, but for the road they are hardly exactly instant crash and burn tyres, especially since the fk452s lost traction first.
  13. Damn those dirty filthy rotten re040s to hell
  14. You, on a tyre thread? If the 4x4 struggled i'm not sure how much luck you'd have on any tyres in the zed. I'm still running fk452s Would probably choose ps2s, vreds or re050s next time though, just cause it's slightly more difficult getting traction in snow/ice, they're perfectly reasonable normally
  15. I think the idea is the second coat fills in bits which haven't been sealed by the first layer, but also if wax is left to dry and another coat applied, I don't see why it can't layer? Sealants though are an entirely different matter.
  16. I think berserk may be a little optimistic unless you stick a twin turbo on it
  17. It gives a bit longer protection than most waxes, I still have yet to see anything like that long from z2 though.
  18. Do you ever drive your zed? Doubt that any wax will last 3-6 months, especially without topping up. Some of the clever stuff like gtechniq will probably last that long though maybe.
  19. Depends on how far you want to go (it's 95% prep, 5% wax imho) First thing is to get some halogens or a swirl spotter torch, if you see swirls or scratches(which you will) you'll need to polish, using either or rotary or dual action polisher. Once you've sorted that, you can try just a good quality wax like dodo juice supernatural on top tbh. Or if you just want to be lazy, maybe just dodo juice lime prime, then dodo juice supernatural, or more cheaply maybe victoria wax/similar. Polishing will take a looong time
  20. I'd like to find an insurance company where something out of the ordinary isn't difficult to add as a mod
