  4. you loosin' it Graham ?
  5. Before Sarnie gets chance I'd just like to say ... needs lowering and spacers
  6. It'll be the B A N A N A B A R try changing one at a time if you're trying to keep the costs down (LHS first) As Hench said, drive over a rough surface then apply the brakes with the left foot whilst still keeping the revs up to keep the car moving - if the knocking goes then that's a definite B A N A N A B A R don't put cheap ones on though
  7. They could only successfully claim that if they actually tried to prevent cars from parking there, by notices, markings, barriers etc. And even then it would not automatically absolve them of liability. What you should or should not do is not relevant. This situation is all about the duty of a carpark owner. There is a 'it is your own fault' defence, but where lawful visitors are concerned it is pretty much limited to you intentionally jumping in a front of a train or something like that. Good point about the sign though. ATTAK Z you need to photo that and any other sign on that carpark. If it contains exclusion clauses it might be fatal to the claim. I'll get a photo of the sign and post later Thanks for all the help guys
  8. In that case you'd have to back out ... not a good idea onto a busy rural road methinks
  9. Yes, the problem occurred on Sunday, tyres were fitted yesterday (Tuesday) and I took the pics today (Wednesday)
  10. Ha ha yea it's about 100 mm deep but I couldn't get the tape to stand up on its own
  11. I think that's the point ... car park is not suitable for cars
  12. OK guys here are the photos which will perhaps explain better: Entrance to car park - I parked about where the Seat is in this photo Did my shopping ( two bottles for £10), I then backed into the position shown on this photo preparing to exit Offending pothole can now be clearly seen to the side of the concrete in the centre of this photo Detail of pothole with tape showing depth next photo shows a close up of the tape and the edge of the concrete where the front tyre slipped off as I was exiting the car park
  13. It slipped off the edge of a concrete diveway into a large pothole which had been bitmac surfaced ... this sliced the inside wall of the tyre
  14. So is it a case of a written communication claiming compensation to start with ?
  15. You never go anywhere entirely at your own risk. There is always at least some duty of care, even to trespassers and burglars. Wheher it is a good thing or not is a different matter, but this is how English law is. Thanks Comrade ... was hoping you or Dan would pick this up
  16. I'll be there ... 'tis a good doo ... maybe take the Stradale
