  1. @Ekona - ideally something around 16k, no more then 55k miles done, something fairly speedy, not older then 6-7 years. Would love it to have some gadgets and gizmos as it will be used for an every day car. Also really needs to be about the same price to run, service etc.. I have had a rummage around on the usual sites, autotrader, pistonheads etc.. but nothing really is jumping out.
  2. I did look at Skylines but really (and no offense to anyone) they arnt for me, I want something newer really.
  3. I have been playing with the idea of moving on from the 350z. Loved every moment I have had it, not done a huge amount of miles in the 4 years or so but its been great fun! Although my problem at the moment is I cannot really find its replacement. I want something of similar ilk, with not more then around 40-50k miles but don't really want to spend more then £16k. 370zs at the moment seem to be a little more then that. I also want to get something that is similar cost fuel, servicing etc.. Is there anything?
  4. I had one, as I thought it looked really cool too. But actually it felt really naff, no weight to it at all. It also looked really cheesey and I felt like a bit of a plonker with it on.... Actually was really annoying as I had been looking for an unsual ring or piece of bling for myself for while and thought this coul be it..
  5. If im honest i found that massively underwhelming. Don't get me wrong its quite impressive, but for me not as impressive as some other stunts you see on Youtube or even devinsupertramp videos..
  6. No one know what VDC is then? Or is it a noob question?
  7. HI Guys, I just thought I would everyone a quick update on this. Basically I did a wholllle load of research into it, and in effect I was right about the 2 Year EU Law warranty. I spoke to several people about it and finally decided to go into my local O2 store. When I got in there the manager was extremely rude and basically tried to laugh me out of the shop said it didn't exist, if it did the 25 million Apple product owners wouldn't be paying the applecare policy etc.. I ended up saying to him I would show him the websites etc.. but he didn't want to hear anything about it and I ended up leaving... That then started my thirst to get this settled, so I spoke to O2 customers support got through to someone who acknowledged this was true but because apple had replaced it already once under warranty it was them who needed to do it again. The offered to give me the legal documentation I needed to force Apple to do this and gave me an email address to write to to get it from O2. However surprise surprise I never got it from them. After 3 days I then spoke to another manager at the call centre who tried to tell me I was told the wrong information. At that point I said to them I would like to request all my personal data and transcripts of all calls to O2 under the 1998 data protection act. (Which you are legally allowed to do) That's when things very quickly changed, to cut a long story short I now have a brand new Iphone 5 from Apple, and £5 a month off my monthly bill from O2 for the trouble I incurred... So in short yes you do have 2 years EU warranty, and its worth claming, it saved me £215 odd on a new handset and £5 x11 for the money from O2.
  8. so no my bad explanation. 1st phone I bought early October. That broke around May so it was replaced by a second phone. You either get 12 months from your original date, ie October or three months from the new phones issue date. Ie Mid August. Depending on which is longer. In my case it is mid October. So I am 1 month over warranty (the conspiracy theorist in me finds that very suspect! But that's a conversation for another day ) Im just not willing to accept it without a fight, as it seems wrong to me that a device which has been treated very well has broken in just over a year of use (technically only 5 months or so on the new handset) and its going to cost me £216 to fix. If it was £50 I could maybe accept that, or if I had treated it badly. But I haven't if anything its been massively underused as I have a work phone too that I use.
  9. Insurance? I haven't lost it or broken it.... £216 is a lot of money I think when the phone is practically new you shouldn't have to pay that after a year of ownership.
  10. You do 3 months, but as I had it in May it was before my original warranty ended anyway.
  11. I saw that, but how would you prove that?
  12. HI All, Sooo...my iphone 5 has broken! And typically its outside my 12 month Apple warranty. So I call up Apple and tell them its broken (it keeps finding signal then finds it then drops it, which rinses battery and means I cant actually use it on anything but wifi for more then 10s or so), we run through various trouble shooting stuff(which I have more or less all done myself already) then he says I need to go into Apple and and show them my phone as they may be able to help. I ask him how likely that it is they can fix it in store, he says its very unlikely and the chances are I will need a new unit. But the catch is as im 1 month out of my 1 year warranty a new unit is £216!!! (They have previously already replaced it as about 4 months in my home button stopped working) Now, I could understand that if my screen was cracked, or I had dropped it in a puddle, but I treat my gadgets unbelievable well, its never been dropped, always had a case, and screen protector (if you take off the case it looks brand spanking new). So I basically say to him on the phone there is no way I will be paying that and legally that seems crazy as clearly there is something not right (how do I know my replacement wasn't faulty etc..) I was calm and polite. He then tells me there is something i can do and tells me about this page: http://www.apple.com/uk/legal/statutory-warranty/ Which assuming im reading it correctly says I actually have two years warranty under EU law?! Now....how do I go about claiming that? Do I just go instore and take a print out etc?
  13. If people want to bvuy just games please do PM me, im thinking I may do bulks of like £40?
  14. You know you want to I will put up on here for a week or so then break down for Ebay.
  15. Hi All, I am selling my Xbox360 collection, I could do with the cash and have recently just moved to PC gaming so no longer play on it. I also just had to get a new set of rears! I work with someone who gets promos cheap - these are copies of games given to Journalists and families of the games developers (As such for collectors can be quite valuable for the right game). They are the full game (NOT DEMOS!) but come with no manual, and say "not for resale" if you look them up on EBay you see a lot of them. The Bundle I want to sell as one mega pack, I have done a lot of research, on eBay and put down the average most recent prices games have been selling for second hand on there. I have then minus 25%. YES 25% which is a huge saving. (On eBay you would have to pay postage as well don't forget!) For sale: 1x Xbox360 Slim 250GB model 1x Black Xbox360 Controller 1x Black rechargeable battery 1x play and charge kit 1x Rockband Beatles Drum Kit 1xRockband Guitar 62 games (lots of new ones, including GTAV, Fifa2014) Below is the list and table for prices i have used to be transparent. (I'm guessing!) It would make a pretty awesome package for someone's kids / nephews / nieces. Not a great pic of the xbox, (its because its still plugged in!) But in mint condition. Always been stored away in cabinet.
  16. OK great thanks for the advice on 2010. I have seen a couple of Black editions up for sale so may check out one of those.
  17. Hi All, I am considering upgrading my 350z to a 370z. I have seen the price has come down a fair bit for them (40k Miles 2009 GT spec are around £15k) and after having the 350 for around 4 years I think I fancy a change. In terms of the car itself is there anything i should be considering before I change in terms of running costs etc? Is fuel much more? Are tires more? Services? (I have always had done by a local team of pros who know 350zs well - in my experience I have found when part Xing taking to a main dealer does diddly squat for increasing value) Im just trying to do my sums to see if its possible, and if its not going to cost me a crazy amount more money.
  18. Thanks Leonk - I just got this message from the seller "Yes that is possible, you can cut the UK plug off the supply supplied and then hard wire it into a switch / fused spur" - does that sound ok?
  19. That's really interesting actually, just looked it up but tbh, doesn't affect me as we don't listen to DAB.
  20. Howdy Guys! Thanks for your advice on the Kitchen, we have since got our guy down a fair bit and saved quite a bit of money buying various bits and bobs online. However I really want under counter LEDs and Under unit LEDS, i was looking at getting "Warm" light LEDs as I think otherwise in our white kitchen it maybe a little intense with the blue. I want to wire them into our mains power so i can turn on the light switch for the room and have the whole kitchen turn on (i will probably use 2 or 3 switches actually) My question is the kit i have bought comes with an adapter, can I just use this to wire it into the mains (I would get our workman to do it, I just want to make sure he has the right stuff)? As I'm getting really confused as to what i need to buy, some places say drivers, others say that's not necessary. (I don't want to plug my set into a plug socket.) The set I bought are these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290794814441?var=590084522302&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 I got these ones as they come with joining cables which i will need to go past my hob and window. (Rather than buying one of the 5m sets)
  21. Ohh ok, so yes puttting in cupboard will be fine for us, as you will still easily be able to get to them. (I thought you were going to say it was some building regs thing or a fire risk or something)
  22. Why is that? They look ugly as hell so we are hiding them behnd counters so you can still access from cupboards. (also there seem to be soooo many for a small kitchen)
  23. I should probably add we are in Surrey / Weybridge area so things are more pricey in general here. (But not crazy pricey)
