  1. My own or someone elses... Entirely possible tho as my dad has a mg midget and austin healey sprite not quite a zed!
  2. Well you're driving a QQ now so you better get used to going nowhere fast Yeah but at least I can see where im not going....
  3. All genuine Nissan items not cheapy knockoffs I can post the privacy screen and bulb kit but the mats are pretty big so at the minute for collection from chesterfield or near there I may be able to arrange postage but it wont be cheap given the size. For those that dont know the privacy tonneau sits in the rear window at the bottom to help hide items in the boot - different to the vertical tonneau- clips are present. NIssan Bulb kit is still sealed and unopened - £15- SOLD Privacy screen used but in good condition - £35 - SOLD Front and rear luxury mats -used so some minor wear on drivers side where my feet sat (if you look carefully at pic 2 you can just about see it) otherwise v good condition £80 if collected from chesterfield. - SOLD - pending payment
  4. Im afraid not ... the zed was driven 200yards from the accident repair place - into the dealer car park. Chap was very nice and the QQ was a bargin (£11k with just 14000 on the clock 1 lady owner full service etc). If anyone manages to run in to me in this at least I will have the pleasure of reversing over them.... Thanks to everyone for making this forum such a fun place - im not going anywhere fast. Special mention to Tarmac. Really went the extra mile when it was needed - Ill be about for while guys
  5. So today I signed on the dotted line....and shes gone Sad to see that thumping V6 go but having her spent more time in garages and bodyshops than on my drive let alone on the road I cant say Im that dissapointed. Hopefully Ill have a it more luck. So far this year she had had, wheel hub, skimmed discs, rear hatch, 2 spoilers, a bumper repair then a new bumper, an exhaust, bumper respray (twice) 4 times if you include the rear wing then the blending in, roof resprayed. None of which were my fault and either due to old issues that had been festering, stuff spontaneously breaking or stupid people driving in to my car. (My car was always stationary - once i was not even in the damn thing ) has been replaced with a qashqai - no heart pounding action but loads of gadgets, and I can see round corners again!!!!! wooooooooohoooooo. Ill still trundle about on the forums as I have a few bits (mats etc) to flog and ill need to find a replacement area rep. But its been a blast guys and ill maybe pop by a meet

    Instant rust???

Quote does not sound too exagerated especially for a good job. You might be able to get it cheaper if you shop around it sounds towards the top of what i would expect but small jobs are often not much cheaper than big ones!. As its often difficult to get an exact colour match so they "blend" the colour with the panels around the area sprayed so you cant see where it has been resprayed. If they dont do that the chances are your care will look different colours! So althoughthe damaged area may be small it may require a much larger area to be sprayed so it looks good. If you go with a "smart" repair that will only do the area unless you are very lucky it will standout like a sore thumb.
  7. Cosworth do not manufacture brake pads. I didnt think they did but i would have thought given they have a brand reputation to protect they wouldn't be stupid and use cheapo pads.
  8. I have cosworth pads on and never seen this. But i have dba discs. I cant see cosworth allowing their name to be used on a substandard product even if they are just cosworth branded. Sounds very odd.
  9. Welcome to the forum. get some pics up when you can
  10. This has made me think though.... would a set of four tyres made from epoxy coated otters in a eager mental state be cheaper than runflats... if so I am patenting those buggers tomorrow.
  11. ha ha ha.. pointless questions asked. Good luck withthe sale chap

    Squeaky Brakes

Ferodo, Cosworth, EBC all do pads for brembo calipers. Horsham suplied my cosworth sm pads. The price varies and some are described as "track" pads. Alex, MWtech, Horsham plus others supply pads have a look in the traders section.
  13. My 2003 was for sale recently for £7k and mine was on 47k and UK spec. So it seems a bit high IMO. Mods dont really add much value as its down to personal taste. If its what you were looking for then you may be quids in and saves you some work - i notice the nissan badge is missing from the front and not smoothed out. Cant say I like the orange and GM scheme myself. But £6500 for an import on that milage in the current market is keen. Remember you will have to declare the mods when you insure it and there are quite a lot listed there. P.S. Any tint on the side windows is probably illegal. If you get pulled by VOSA you may have to have it removed. I was told by VOSA officer its virtually impossible to legally tint side windows.
  14. Where abouts are you. I have some part worn bridgestone re40 fronts that are ok i think. Been in my shed a year i was keeping them incase i got a puncture after i changes all 4 but if it would help drop me a pm. I wont want much for em and they will keep you going. Im in chesterfield if your interested give me a shout ill dig em out and take a couple of pics.
  15. Off the market at the moment - please can mods lock
  16. Welcome to the forum Mine is for sale...
  17. cheers - i really dont want to have to sell it... but ho hum
  18. With a heavy heart I am putting my zed out to pasture. £7000 ono seems the going rate generally for this mileage and age. Reasonable standard with no extreme mods. 53 (2003) UK GT spec in Gunmetal grey just about to tick over 47000 miles. Not been abused on track and as you would expect in excellent condition, tyres and brakes all have plenty of life in them so it’s a bargain for someone. Lots of history - anything its needed has been done. In my ownership 2009 Major service and health check after purchase Aux belts replaced 2010 Minor Service Gas struts replaced in boot Rear ARB drop links replaced Partial Re-spray to remove scratches from previous owner Alloy wheels Re-furbed Tyres replaced with Bridgestone Re50a 2011 Intermediate service - brake fluid, diff fluid and gear oil all changed also DBA XS 4000 brakes and Cosworth pads fitted front and rear Front end re-spray to remove stone chips etc 2012 Rear hatch replaced/resprayed and Carbon fibre N1 spoiler fitted Inspection carried out at noble motorsport at my request - wheel hub replaced on their recommendation The GT pack it comes with Rays engineering forged 18" alloy wheels. Heated black leather seats. Xenon headlights with washer jets, Cruise control. 7 Speaker Bose stereo Climate control/AC. Phone cradle Brembo brakes. In addition to the standard spec it has a carbon fibre N1 spoiler, colour coded door handles & z centre caps for the alloys. Boot divider, privacy screen for rear hatch & 350z logo mats (front and rear), spare bulb kit & 350z cd case will all be included in at this price. I’ll even chuck in the phone for the phone cradle. Any inspection welcome - the car is in chesterfield, if you wish to test drive please bring proof of insurance and a current valid driving licence as otherwise you will only get to sit in the passenger seat. Tyre kickers and test pilots need not apply, I’m not daft. MOT and tax is due soon (august) however I wont be dropping the price on that basis and may even have chopped it in by then if the right deal comes along. Feel free to PM me with any questions. I’m not looking to Part-ex on this so cash buyers only please.
  19. Mine squeaked a couple of months after being replaced and just needed the tension adjusting but they were reasonably new. Check the belts for any cracking etc. But given how cheap belts are if in doubt swap em out.....
  20. Meh I have some in my shed ... but a bit far from you methinks... (chesterfield!)
  21. Is the noise only when you brake or all the time? Is it only when you set off? Like a caliper is not releasing? A not more info may help. But dont gamble with brakes. If in doubt get it to a professional.
  22. I think its a badge of honour considering the state of the euro
