  1. ive got an alpine stereo ill be getting rid of shortly but its not a double din,its a single din 7 inch motorised touchscreen
  2. Whitey if you want to use a box like mine they really are small,i looked at a 10 & 12 Rockford Fosgate shallow mounts, turns out that a 12 will fit my box, mounting depth plays a big part of it too,you get roughly about 6 inches. From what i remember though the RF shallow mounts gave off a good amount of power for a little box etc
  3. Yup you will dude start with the top of the speaker cover bit & work your way down, sure the rear of the centre console needs at least lifting to get the plastic trim off the front.Once youve stripped it its about 4 bolts i think
  4. Chris, the metal panel just unbolts mate,i couldnt be arsed to put mine back in My box has 1117cu.in if that helps whitey? or 0.64641203704cu.ft
  5. I got about 3 lines in and thought nahh
  6. Ive got an unused custom box to fit that space.it's in the for sale section, not sure what it's volume is but it will fit a 10/12 inch sub
  7. Yeah,i hate moving my seat too, never feels like its in the right place again.lol. Just put a post up about my head unit now ive managed to get a dc convertor,no doubt ill find mine in the garage one day but i took the chance when i saw one so im awaiting that now
  8. Hi guys, This purely to check out what interest i get at the moment as im waiting for a vital part for the stereo to arrive. So,on to the stereo, its a motorised fold out 7 inch touchscreen unit that plays pretty much anything, including dvd,cd,mp3,ipod compatible, vcd etc etc. Its one of the stereos that uses a hideaway receiver unit(or brain) so theres no cramming wires into tight spaces. The headunit itself is immaculate, only downside is the springs gone in the release button for the removeable front, but this doesnt affect the unit in any way as it doesnt fall off & still removes & fits on fine Ill see if ive got some old pictures from my last car as ive never got it in the zed after losing the dc convertor, this is the part ive just bought. The brain has a few scratches on it but its hidden away anyway so it doesnt matter. This really is a very well specced headunit, heres a link to it for more details http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /3516.html The price has dropped since i bought mine as i paid £750 for it.The only reasons its not going in the zed are im unsure as to if ill have a job by the end of the month, and if i do keep my job then ive still not got the money to replace the rest of my system as people may have seen from my other threads my sub wont fit in the zed. Sorry to babble on anyway Looking for £400 ideally, may even throw the alpine ipod adapter in if it goes to someone on here
  9. Cheers Yoko, got someone interested & it was a question Cheers top man
  10. Hi guys does the passenger rear glove box come out & leave the same space as the drivers side?minus the sub etc obviously Any help would be appreciated before i go rip my car apart
  11. Can anyone tell me if once the glove box behind the passenger seat is removed if its the same as the space for the bose sub etc, obviously minus the frame the bose sits on.Im thinkin it will be as the us cars have the bose that should but just want to make sure
  12. Mine turned up today dude, took what,a week
  13. Hi guys, looks like im never actually going to need these so may aswell offer them up here. First up is a custom built box by a joiner friend. This fits in the space where the standard bose sub goes,it will fit a 10 or 12,depth dependant,as i got them to leave it without a hole as i wasnt sure what size id get. Its been sat in the garage since i checked it fits the space. And one with a sub im thinking of selling too just to show the depth in comparison to subs depth.NOTE SUB NOT INCLUDED Say £50 plus p&p Next up is an Autoleads fascia adaptery thingy, presumably just fits pre facelifted cars, not sure, its one og these anyway http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_prod ... tno=FP2203 Paid £30 i think from my local audio shop. £15 plus p&p maybe Think ive also got an alpine to nissan iso aswell in the garage. Gimee a shout for anything you want to know
  14. He did my fto exhaust, nice bloke like you say but told me what i wanted couldnt be done when it could,i saw it on another fto
  15. I was agreeing with you But got £150, depending who was doing it, it might be worth doing as its good value just to get a detail. I doubt it will be a full detail for that price though Yeah i agree dude. Unless things have changed since i used to do it all theyl do is valet it as usual but use the supagard polish & the spray for the carpets & seats.Thats what we did anyway, engine bay, door shuts, exterior, hoover & clean seats, floors etc if needed,in & out windows then whack the supagard on while spraying the 'protector' in the interior Basically the customer paid extra for some spray,a bit of different polish & an aftercare pack containing a little bottle of 'special' shampoo,2 crappy mutton clothes & something else.My mate was given it free on his 59plate lancer sportback & i was suprised to see you get less than when i valeted
  16. Its a joke now it still hasnt turned up
  17. As far as i know its not arrived yet but im in sheffield untill tomorow night
  18. Am i right in saying a car loses power over time anyway?i know 50 odd bhp is a big loss but still. My old fto was 200bhp at the fly standard, after a bmc cda, decat back exhaust, new plugs, leads, fluids & having an Apexi Neo fitted i only managed an extra 19.5bhp over standard. Just unfortunate that by the time itd got through the auto box to the wheels i ended up with 170.2bhp. Now thats a big loss
  19. Looks tidy mate i cant get my centre caps on my rear wheels
  20. If its anything like Supagaurd then dont bother, ive got loads of bags of polish & interior spray from when i used to valet.I used to love being in the showroom listenin to them talkin absolute shite to get people to pay upto £300 for the stuff If im being honest then as far as the exterior goes do it yourself with products recommended by people on here, things like Dodo Juice, meguiars,AutoGlym etc etc
  21. £60 for some that have 'minor damage' dont think epracing are much dearer are they?
  22. Thanks Bronzee Pimm i only took the one,im gettin bored of taking photos of it at the minute as theyre all the same,in the drive same angles etc BUT when the weathers dry enough to go anywhere without it gettin dirty like it is again now then ill get some in other places
  23. There sure is some money that got swallowed by that engine bay
