Questions about UpRev for Abbey
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
Neil , afraid I cant tweak your Map as I need a copy of the map to start with that RS will have. I presume it will be locked as well. Suspension set up yes I will sort this out and send it to you. I must admit thou as I am tuning a 350Z car , if you have a car that can run multi maps you can have the tweaked (UPREV) throttle maps in any of the multi maps you like, so you could have a tuned mapped with or without the tweaked (UPREV) throttle map. Sorry for telling you the wrong info But the UK 276bhp car cant have multi maps. -

Yep in the dyno room as we speak. -

No we now know the car always get 100% throttle in all gears , the response of the butterfly is tweaked to be the same in all 6 gears, in stock form the butterfly is delayed behind the throttle pedal input in the lower 3 gears. I used to think the throttle wasn't opened 100% in the lower gears but I was wrong. 370Z , your kind of correct but tweaking the throttle map's makes the car responsed quicker "enchances" is the right word I feel. -

Think we at crossed lines that all, but I will outline what happens; Valet map is no trouble. When we remap and upload the tweaked throttle map this works with all the multi maps. You cant have say Map with tweaked throttle map and map 2 without tweaked throttle map. You either have the throttle map tweaked or standard throttle map. We can aslo and I admit I didnt explain this another throttle map. On a standard car with or without the tweaked throttle map when you push the throttle pedal down say 25% you dont get 25% of throttle butterfly movement you get around 15% I think this works up to around 50% throttle pedal movement. this is to make the ca rnicer to drive at part throttle in traffic etc etc. We can within the Uprev software remove this so the pedal to butterfly ratio is 1 to 1 i.e 25% pedal movement is 25% butterfly movement. when we do this the cruise control cant work as the ratio is outside what the cruise map can control. But for a race car it is lovley far better throttle control. hope this clears everything up. NeilP sorry to upset you. I open another thread re questions about Uprev. -

your not listening/reading what I write; The 1 to 1 throttle map isnt multi map related. The multi map lets you tweak the fuelling/ignition and limits only. Once we tweak the throttle maps this map works with all the multi maps; The 1 to 1 throttle map will NOT let the cruise control map work. It turns the crusie maps OFF in the ECU. can we keep this thread for feedback from Abbey Uprev customers , maybe a Mod can move questions on the Uprev to it's own thread. I am happy to answer any questions. Mark -

afraid not , as we re scale the throttle map to give 1 to1 throttle pedal to throttle butterfly movement the cruise map cant work with the new scaling. -

If you have a car that can run multi maps , we run a low rpm and speed limit map stops the car being abused while not in your control. -

Sam as you have a UK DE (276bhp) car you can't have multi maps. We can still add the agressive throttle map but you willstill loose the cruise control. -

5 maps can be installed. Yes they can be swapped on the go. Valet map Free of charge Performance Map if done while the car having the re-map I charge an extra 50-00 inc vat if done seperate I charge 1 hour dyno time £100-00 inc vat. -
I get asked this a lot re multi maps 1, we can run a valet map easy The re-map are as ecomoical as they can be as the car runs closed loop 95% of the time they run around stoichmetric which is the most ecomomical tune. We can run a perfomance map the car will be tuned a little richer for my torque/BHP with a more agressive throttle map. If you dont mind losing the cruise control we can add a very agressive throttle map that all the full time track day warriors run.

We been tuning your cars with the Uprev system for over a year now. I thought I would ask for a little feedback from people that have tuned by Abbey. I would just like a few words what part of the Uprev you liked most after the re-map? Was you happy with the results? Will you do any more tuning to your car? What else would you like from the Uprev re-map if possible? thanks Mark
-
You just pay for dyno time then which is £100-00 inc vat per hour. Normally takes arounds 2 hours to sort a map out after fitting extra parts. Mark
-
We are £402-00 inc vat for a remap (reflash) including dyno time with before and after dynoplots.

Only had it 4 days and im off to rs tuning
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Adam rs's topic in 350Z General
We can supply the panel filter from Stock. They are £33-03 inc vat and shipping. Mark -
sorry to crap this thread but a 370 is different , this car has 2 set of Cats fitted as standard , fitting a exhaust system remove these 2nd cats so freeing up the exhaust flow. Fitting HFC's/decat's etc etc any give a few more BHP/Torque most of the gain comes from changing the exhaust and a remap on these cars. Mark
-
Hi, when you 1st purchase a Uprev within the price a License comes with it. If after you require any more tuning you only have to pay for dyno time. And if you remove all the parts from the car before you sell it we can even remove the licence and you can either sell this or take it with you to fit on another 350 or 370 or even new GTR very shortly.

My opinon , the best gain your get per pound on a DE motor is just fit a plenum spacer/Panel filter and a remap. After that fitting HFC's/Y pipe's etc etc will give returns but not as much as the 1st stage i.e fitting the plenum/remap. An exhaust isnt worth doing unless you have the front end of the exhaust sorted as the restriction in the exhaust is the Cats and Y pipe. hope this helps

asking for some feedback RE Uprev tuning

Beavis, To be honest I would prefer to do a complete remap on the dyno I am afraid. -

Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
I am not going to quote BHP gains it will be more about drivability this reflash. If you fit a Plenum spacer at a later date it will require another reflash. Same as all the others throttle remapped , fuel tweaked , speed limiter removed rev limiter raised. The throttle remap makes the cars drive 100% better in the lower gears. -

If you car isnt stock it will need dyno time to tune for 95 octane fuel, so it will cost £402-00 inc vat but we can do it while you wait on our in house dyno. -

What do you mean work on the 95 octane fuel map? I will be tuning my DE car in the next few weeks on 95 octane fuel. Mark -

Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
It isnt a map built for you car on our dyno , it is a generic tweak to allow you a few of the gains provided by the Uprev system. No dyno plots provided. -
I feel I can provide a base tune for stock or slightly modified cars via a post service as we have some much data for these cars after tuning them for over a year using the Uprev system. Your be able to send me your ECU, I will upload a tweaked map and send the ECU back to you. You can then at a later date if you so wish pay for some extra dyno time to fine tune the map to your car. I am thinking a totally stock car and a car with a Plenum spacer. ( panel filter upgrade can also be included ) no Y pipe's or HFC's thou as these do seem to change the maps a lot and different make piece's of kit need different maps. I also think we can do 95 octane maps as well with the same spec's (with and without plenum spacer fitted) Throttle maps tweaked , Rpm limit raised , speed limit removed. Minor tweak to fuel and ignition maps ( ignition map remapped for 95 octane fuel) Lets have your feedback then I can get the maps sorted before starting this service. I can get a DE motor done ASAP but REV-UP/HR and VHR(370z) motors may take a few weeks to get sorted. I am thinking around £250-00 inc vat + £12-50 courier service. I think if you send me your ECU recorded and it is with me before 12, I would hope to have the CU shippe dback out the same day so you should only be without your car for 3 days , but your also welcome to drop in and I will do this while you wait. The remap price including dyno work for N/A at £402-00 inc vat you see is a really good price as it is only £152-00 inc vat more than the courier remap price but some people dont want the cost of the trip to us and aren't worried about the last few BHP and lb/ft torque tuned out of the car. Dyno time is £100-00 inc vat per hour if you want the car dyno tuned at a later date. So would people be interested in this? Please give me your feedback.

thanks for the , to quantify what I did, I just uploaded basically a stock map with the throttle map tweaked for better response removed the speed limiter hich wouldn't by itself make any difference to the drivability , I very slightly tweaked the fuel map but nothing major as I didn't have time to run the car on the dyno but after tuning a few of these cars you get the feel for them as to speak. Wait until I get the car on the dyno it will go even better I am sure. Wonder if this basic map you be a good idea for people not wanting to travel to me for dyno time they could send me there ECU I could upload the basic map and send the ECU back. Maybe time for a new thread. Wasso what colour sticker do you want......
