Good point, i dont think the tappets are stuck as when the engine runs its like its new....I will check the plugs again tomorrow. It smoke while it idles and alot and i me alot when under load.

There is a tint of blue in the smoke, i know the white smoke is the car burning water and i would have thought after 20 min drive this would have burt off? The engine runs very smooth and has been serviced very well, all the fuild levels are fine and the water is clear...It started happing has my dad drove it down to mine about two months ago. It then sat for that time, we started it today (needed a manual turn over to get it going). Temp is fine and its not over/under heating...

Let me know if you find them, i couldnt

Hi guys need some help with my dads car…Although we are both fairly mechanically minded this problem has confused us….His Toyota previa is producing blue smoke out of the exhaust, not we no this (or should) be due to oil burning. However we have check the compression and values and everything is solid, well for a 100,000 engine. Can anyone give me some clues as to what the cause could be?

Put masking tape on the area you want to cut. Sounds a little silly but it means you can draw and template and atcully see it, even while you are cutting...

I got some ebay ones about 5 months back and never had such good clean result....and very easy to fit.

Learn to "ghostride" the Zed. On my trip back from Germany to the UK, I got coaught in the worst of it and it took me 18 hours to get back. Stick the Zed in 1st or 2nd, then gently lift the clutch, no throttle, maybe feather the clutch till you start moving. Once moving, resist the urge to step on the throttle, just let the Zed "ghostride" itself thru the snow and ice. I am amazed that more people do not know about using 2nd gear in this whether. I was taught how to use the clutch while I was learning to drive. On my way to work the other day there was a M3 and I citroen stuck all trying to pull over on a hill in 1st! Suggested they used 2nd and no revs (or very little) and the pulled off fine….

So I would remove the ash try and hazzed light switch. Then cut a little of the console away. I am planning I making up fibre glass box, which I was then fix to the underneath of the console with more fibre glass…I think this would work but I don’t know how I would finish it and blend it in? thoughts?

That is full of other useless stuff.... This is just an idea - people must have done something similar, or do we all jsut throw them in the cubby holes....

Well I thought for one it would be different and two there is no where to put your phone. I don’t really need the iPod connection as I am getting a nurrish system, but thought it would be useful. I have got fed up of trying to find my phone and with the nurrish system taking up the only useful storage, where would I put it? I don’t like the cradle the screw in or fix to air vents.

What is that? I was thinking of using an cradle that is adjustable - for when i change phones etc...but not sure if that would look a little crap... Also how would you go about re finishing the console?

Has anyone tried to mod this to hold a phone or iPod? I am thinking of getting of the ash tray and moving the hazard button to underneath the dials (like the later models). The trying a holder or two side by side or one in front of the other and maybe a power source…

Anyone got or knows how much the centre console would cost (the piece where the hand break is etc). Thinking of doing some mods and would like a practice one….
