  1. Cheers Pimm's on the info...I never knew that about the foil although I only had baking sheets anyway lol. My backing took a little bit of hammer but the lense itself was fine. The bumper/sensors still need a proper repair but there a lot better than a inch hole Alex
  2. I was about to cry then my lovely girlfriend gave me Stella and I relaxed. Quick shower and I had a game plan. You cant tell from a few meters away but I know its there. Thanks for the feed back on the thread, makes it worth while when people read, use it and look at it lol.
  3. I wouldn't trust Greggs to do anything ....... they can't even put butter on bread properly lol IMO HAHA pricelss. I do use Woodheads for snacks.
  4. Haha, I just work on the method don it and regret it afterwards. If you ponder over most stuff mate you wouldn't do anything. Just whap it in the cooker lol. Thanks for the feed back man. I don't want anyone to do the same as I did. This post might make them remeber when there running towards the bumper with the drill turnning. Alex
  5. Cheers mate, I'm still waiting for the L.E.D to turn up from hong kong. I'll have a spare if anyone wants to split the cost with me. It was £15 for two?
  6. Will this be the first time you've drove the 370? Alex
  7. A engine swap wouldnt right the car off... I bet its been in floor or heavy impact. Pay for what you get imo...
  8. Well I've posted on my progress thread how Ive resolved the problem short term lol.. Thanks guys.
  9. Before After Just need to get my bumper repair properly now or a secod hand one.
  10. Removing the lense from the rear fog light. Unscrew the two bulbs and holders. Unclip the plug from the plastic pegs and remove the loom Clean the lamp before putting it in your cooker lol I cooked it for 3mins at 180c and this was a little to long if I'm honest. Lift the tabs that retain the lense while pulling the lense from the body. Pull out the red lense and chrome reflector. Slide the two pieces back together and make sure the clips locate. I didnt use any further silicon or sealant because it was everywere already and plenty to go round. Check out the shizzel. Reclip the loom to the lamp and job done.
  11. Back to fitting the sensors. Find your balls you lost the night before and get the 19mm hole cutter. You now have to cut the other three, bare knuckle street fighting is for girls cutting holes in your Z is for men. Strip the rear out to fit the electrics, I decided to fit it on the left because the reverse light was there. I stock the electic box to the underside of the lamp panel. Theres only two wires, Live (red) connect this to the reverse wire (light blue) and Black (earth) wire this to earth. Then I wired the buzzer round the back to the alarm siren. Simples, put the whole lot back together.
  12. Rear Bumper Hole repair. To be honest I really wasnt in the mod to repair the bumper so I put it in the kitchen for the night and went for a shower lol. While washing my golden locks I remebered I had some quality plastic resin from my door mirror mod. I found the hole I cut out and set about bonding it back into the bumper lol.. Collect your tools, I drilled a 19mm hole in the plastic card befor fitting. Rough up the mateing surfaces Bumper and plastic card. Bond the card to the bumper, I over lapped the plastic resin on the edges for extra strenght. Check out the bodge. Drill a fresh 19mm hole and touch up the plastic you have just made. This is as good as it gets with a plastic card, resin and touch up lol
  13. Drilling the holes. I used Xvision parking sensors, there arnt any fitting guides for these sensors so I designed my own locations. Theres advise in the user manual about height up and distance apart etc. I cleaned the bumper first. I then measured 9" from each side of the tow eye cover and a further 10" from each of the inner sensor holes. The locations are shown by the vertical lines of tape where they cross. Then on second thoughts I decided I wanted the centre ones a little closer and more equally spaced. I measured from the two outter sensors and split it buy three. The new measurments were 35cm aparts and I've shown these with the black dots. I then took the drill and drilled a hole way to big for the sensor. DOH The hole cutting kit I borrowed said 19mm (which is what I needed ) smallest size, I picked out the smallest I could see didnt check and BOSH massive hole. The 19mm cutter was lose down the side of the box and I used the 25mm lol.
  14. Hi all, well my day went from bad to worse yesterday lol have a look to see my horror. First of I removed the rear bumper? Please note both sides are the same and I'm only showing one lol Open the hatch Remove the three black covers from the rear lamps. Remove the three 10mm bolts from each lamp. Now pull the lamp outwards away from the car standing along the side of the lamp. Theres two little pegs that help locate the lamp, these will snap if done wrong. Twist the bulb holder and your done for the lamps. Remove the 10mm bolt in the corners of the bumper. Remove the 10mm bolt from the front of the bumper end under the wheel arch on each side. Now lie on your back under the bumper and theres two 10mm bolts one on each side of the bumper near the rear wheels. Theres two clips in the centre of the bumper just near the exhaust back box. Now pull each corner of the bumper backwards, theres two slides one on each side and they should be located on a bobin and rail. With these lose you should be able to see a clip on both side you need to release. Now unplug the three plugs and your done. Off
  15. Ahh fair play Ive installed the Xvision myself lol.... Alex
  16. I was 25mm mate. Why you ask?
  17. Cheers mate, thats doesnt look to bad at all....Although at the moment I have larger problems lol. I've drilled a hole to big through my rear bumper for my new parking sensor kit and the sensor falls through lol... Alex
  18. Very nice work mate, looks very clean. What wheel nuts are you using? They all look the same, is there a looking wheel nut or are they all locking nuts??? Alex
  19. Thanks for all the feed back guys. I've got a set from work and had them painted. Removed the bumper this afternoon and marked out all the sensor positions. I started with a pilot hole for the hole saw in all four sensor locations then used the wrong size hole saw for the first sensor lol.... I have to laugh or i'll cry. The sensor just drops stright through lol... I now need a second hand Blade Silver bumper and start again with the correct hole saw. I just picked the wrong one up, god knows what I was thinking and bosh MASSIVE HOLE. Learning curve I guess... If anyone has a Blade Silver bumper or knows of anyone who's selling one please let me know asap. alex@mikesel.info Thanks Alex
  20. Hi I need a rear bumper in Blade Silver if anyone has one. I live East Yorkshire and will collect this weekend with cash. Thanks Alexz
  21. haha priceless...if you turn your headlights on and wash your windscreen the headlamp washers should fire one lot of water. If this is true there fine if not you have problems lol.
  22. Hi guys, thanks for the info. I already have the Ford approved kit from work there called "Xvision". I have them painted in the correct colour but would really like to mount them were the dealers do lol.
  23. Cheers mate, would be good..
  24. Hi all, I've been looking at rear parking sensor kits for a while. What I would like if someone could help is an image of the original Nissan parking sensors for there location on the rear bumper. I've been given a few fitting guides from members on the forum and it seem some tell you to fit the sensors different to others. I would like to fit them in the same location as Nissan to look original if poss. Thanks Alex
