  1. I love Di Noc the latest edition done last night was my rear strut cover. Pick the item to cover Remove any parts that may make the covering harder Clean the part within an inch of its life Find your Di Noc Cut the Di Noc to size, close as possible Fit theflat section first, this is the easiest Warm the rest with a hair drier or heat gun and work it baby When you happy just stand back and admire before the final stage of trimming Clean the edges with Mr Stanley and any area were clips fit and job done Refit and check it.

  4. Just whipped my fiter out and found a metal funnel...I read ages ago these are on the 2006> air box but have never seen on... Mine looks like this. I have a feeling I wont be that lucky but worth asking about lol. Alex
  5. Cheers Sparky, I try to do little guides for all the member as I sort and improve on little things. If it saves other people the money or helps them fix there own cars that good news. Shes due another service (P1) at weekend so I'll get some more images posted up. Alex
  6. Haha, thanks dude but i'll hang onto the car for another year I think lol...
  7. I would like to say a quick thanks to Hamster for the Philip Bulbs and brake pads after the px of his "Z". I whipped out the orange bulbs yesterday and whacked in the silver ones to match my fronts. Few images... Bulbs Before After With the bulbs done I gave her a quick clean inside and the seats some Poor Boys Leather Care.. I was really inpressed with the leather care and would recommend it to other if they havent bought one yet. Alex
  8. Haha, mate just set yourself up a googlemail account and all the settings will be found buy the Iphone. Then forward your 1and1 emails to the goggle account. Tada Alex
  9. I know what your saying mate but the tyre were a bargain, if I was to mess about trying to sell them on etc I think it would cost me even more after fitting etc again. I'll think about it for a month or so and see how I feel then. Alex
  10. Thanks for the info Dave, there still a little expensive at the min...I've been looking at the Tein spring from JDM Perormace there £156inc vat for a 30mm drop... Alex
  11. Ok first and for most a BIG thanks to zmanalex for the replacement tyres. There like new and well cheap compared to retail cost. I had the tyres fitted yesterday by my local tyre fitter. When I bought the tyres I was aware they were 40 profile not the standard 45. I honestly didnt think there would be that much noticeable difference. As you can see from the images belowe I was wrong lol. I've had a look about the net and it would be cheaper to fit lowering springs than replace the rear tyre with the correct profile . Whats your thoughts and does anyone use lowering springs. As much I would love coilover the piggy bank is a little tight with xmas so close and other outgoing at the min. Any advise or help would be good guys. Do you think I'm been over the top with the rear gap? Alex
  12. Not much but you'll need one if you plan to do the "Clear Rear Fog Lamp Mod". I ordered these off ebay and they come in two's. To save someone the hassle and time of ordering from Hong Kong I have for sale the second L.E.D bulb. I dont want to make any more so £5.50 inc postage and its yours. Thanks
  13. Thanks for all the info Tricky, the car does seem to run fine so I'm happy at the mo lol...It is mostly water like you mentioned so that isnt to much to worry about I guess.
  14. Surley if the rings were worn the compression would be down wouldnt it? The cars only done 56k. Alex
  15. Thats what I thought mate to be honest. Glad you agree, i'm sure it cant be anything major otherwise I would have seen other problems by now. Alex
  16. Does this mean you need to empty yours every couple of months...guess it all depends on the miles and speed you cover aswell rather than just time, the faster and further you go the more vapour given from the engine. Alex
  17. Mine is plumbed into the pipe for the air intake (underside), not sure were you mean for the other one. You can clearley see the yellow joint I have used on the left bank when standing in front of the engine bay. If yours is connected to another pipe maybe this is what the difference is. Mine seems to be collecting more vapour so maybe you sould change yours to stop so much recycleation. Could you take a couple of images for me please? Alexz
  18. Maybe mate, were are yours joined? One pipe is joined to rocker cover? Yellow connector and the other pipe connect to the rear breather that normally connects to the air intake pipe. If you look at the following thread you can see where mine are attached.
  19. Location might be the answer, mines in front of the rads so the catch tank is always cold from air flow...most others ive seen are in the engine bay were its a lot warmer. The colder the tank itself the quicker and more oil vapour will condense equalling more liquid?
  20. Emm strange cause the car runs fine...I guess mosts people on the forum dont have catch tanks so theres no 100% reflection on the true amount we should be catching. What else could be wrong if the car runs fine and its not been lost via head gasket or compression. Could it be the build of the oil I'm using? Alex
  21. Haha, the car runs mint, its been round the Ring a few times and has never missed a beat lol. It does use a little oil but from what Ive read on here and the net thats normal in these engines. Yeh I have done a compression test and the were all strong and very close to each other. This would be burnt like mentioned above if it wasnt removed lol. The can sits just behond the bumper carrier and infront of the air con rad. Alex
  22. Evening all, couple of months back I fitted an oil catch tank for my trip across to Nurburg. I released I needed a tank after finding a oil leak and removing the plenium. Well I drained the tank after visiting the Ring and it's been 3 month since. I was checking the car over today for a road trip down to Milton Keynes tommorow for a VW course and notice there was oil on my bumper carrier. The catch tank looked full...so I whipped it out and found this amount of oil vapour lol... Whats the normal amount you guys have found over what period? Alex
