  1. Passed a gunmetal Z this afternoon on the A164 to Beverley, Flashed and waved and got the same back, Alex
  2. Not at all mate, it feels no different what so ever in my opinion.... I must admit I havent really drove her much since the changes though and I did do them both at the same time so no real way of know what it is if there is a change without removing one of the mods lol.DOH The day before I did have the air box half connected and half loose and that felt better lol...but you should really use a filter lol. Alex
  3. Cheers mate, thinking about the lenght of the carbon pipe now I assume it should be used with a direct bolt on filter not the OE air box lol... nothing me and bread knife cant sort thought. Alex
  4. The second mod is the earthing kit. Theres six wires in the kit and the lenghts are belowe. 1 x 16" 1 x 20" 1 x 26" 2 x 30" 1 x 32" I've tried to show as many images as possible and circled the bolts/locations in red. The thre cables on the right (passanger side) are 32, 30 and 26 inch. Alexz
  5. Ok, I found the next couple of mods second hand from **REMOVED**....I found the forum after typeing earthing kit into Google. Carbon Air Intake Pipe. This kit came with all the rubber sleeves and jubile clips etc. I decieded to order some silicone hose sleeves because I was informed the carbon pipe was a little long and I thought modding would be required. As you can see the pipe was way to long lol...I took the bread knife to it, couldnt find my hacksaw anywere and it was raining. Quick before image Remove the retaining clips from the front air duct. Remove the air filer box bolt (10mm) and pull the box up to release it. Disconnect the MAF sensor. Finally unscrew the the jublie clip holding the upper section of the pipe to the plenum. Please bear in mind theres a 10mm bolt holding the intake pipe to a bracket half way down the pipe to the plenum top and a breather hose on the underside. With the pipe and box out you need to remove the the MAF sensor and pipe extension tube. Replace the plastic pipe extension with the alloy mateing plate supplied in the carbon pipe kit. Screw the MAF sensor into the location made in the carbon pipe. Refit the hole shizzle and enjoy the final result. If i'm honest I need the silicon to be a little longer on the filter box to pipe section but it all works for now. Alex
  6. Nah mate Nissan only pay for the infected areas. The top is fine, plus the colour is a little dark so I'm glad it was just the underside lol. The bumper is getting resprayed this week, Alex
  7. Hi Watshot, I'm sure they normally push for the book to be fully filled out. We do a lot of warranty for all the manufactures and there all the same... We she finally got some paint on today. I asked the paint tech to cover the full underside of the bonnet is Blade silver rather than value shade, thought it's be easier to clean and reflect better if I get and shiny bits lol. Wihile I was there I got them to repair my rear bumper, there was a small dent from when I bought the car and the hole I driled to big Should have the car back tomorrow to add the new bits for my progress thread at weekend. Alex
  8. Cheers for the heads up mate, the Tech's at my work have been trained in aluminium repair because of our Audi, Merc contracts etc. I understand what your saying and the sanded areas are pritty small. Plus I have the added extra, if it does come back Im there every day lol. Alex
  9. Ok, the bonnet has been removed and in paint shop. With the bumper on a stand we found even more corrosion all around the sealer... We've dug the sealer out, cleaned up all the corrosion and its ready to be re-sealed in morning.. Alexz
  10. Haha it doesnt come anymore simple than the guide I think out of the members that paid there was only two who rang for help in the early days. Good idea though with the photo step by step. Auto dipping mirrors hahahahaha. I darnt do anything else after this Thanks for the positive comment and my PMs back Mods Alex
  11. Very good man lol Dude I bought the wire stright over the counter, I think it was mentioned the size of the shop may play a part in this. Alexz
  12. As I mentioned in my e-mails to the Mods I dont have the time or funds to order the parts required and make the units up. This is here now and many people seem happy. I hope I havent upset any of the paying member along the way though. Bet your glad you dont have a Z to put this back yard mod on lol. I could always looking into sorting the Honda for you lol...does if have electric mirrors for folding? Alex
  13. The micro switch goes on the inner door handle on the driver door. When the lock button on the inner door handle rocks over it makes the mirrors work if you follow me. This will work with either the remote for key barrel. Alex
  14. First I would to apologise to the members who have paid for this mod in good faith. I have tried to contact you and ask for permission to release the info as you have all paid and agreed to keep it private. If you read the thread below you will understand why theres no point in me becoming a trader with the info I supply. It will get copied and supplied through the forum as all other info does. I have looked through my recent e-mails for you contact details but I delete them every couple of day to keep my phone clean and working fast. My pm's have been removed so I can't track back through those either. If any of the paying member do have an issue with this please contact me on my e-mail address the info was sent from and we can discuss it further. Once again sorry about this. Please read the link below to see why I have done this. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41270 Ok back on track to the guide. I've attached some of the images and step by step guide for you all to use. All parts were bough from www.maplins.co.uk http://www.scribd.com/doc/37735183/Step ... xvokuxrf0p Alexz
  15. Thanks Dave for the comment mate and I truely understand where your coming from but I have to ask out of decency to the other members. I have to do some ironing now and a little house work but I'll try and find the other members details via e-mail and resolve this asap. Regards Alex
  16. Thanks for the replay Martinmac, the inital people agreed not to sure the info as they were paying for the it themself. Non of the mebers had a problem with this and were happy. This has been said over and over, like my e-mail mentioned if the people who have paid for the mod are happy with it going public I'll post the thread myself in the "Guide Section". Two of the paying members already have said ok on this thread.Without my pm's I'm unsure who the other members are due to me deleteing my personal e-mails to keep my phone clean. Once the member who have paid agree the info will be made public. Thanks Sparky, glad your still happy with everyhting. Alex Can't see why anyone that has paid the £10 would complain Alex, think of it like an iPhone app, you pay a £1 or so if you get it straight away or wait a few weeks and it's 59p or free, thats the way it goes... I think you should go public otherwise you could pay the £25 and then other members can just circulate the info once more and more get it done. After I got the info emailed to me I told another member (the one that posted the thanks thread) about it but it never entered my mind to just send him the details and he never asked, but plenty more people wouldn't play it that way I expect... All a lot of fuss over quite a nice neat little mod, and for those saying they don't want to always fold them, the mod gives you the option to have it on or off Unfortunately you have to have rules otherwise forums like this just get silly, in general this is probably the best run forum i'm a member on Thanks for your points mate, I understand were your coming from but it wont get posted buy me until I have spoke to the paid members or the have agreed on this forum... I understand you can just post the info and thats your call but I would ask you to wait and let me sort this please. Regards Alex
  17. Thanks for pointing that out Neil seem like a lot of people on here want stuff for free aswell.. As explained above I will release the info once the paid members have agreed. I cant do anymore, I know you think me becoming a trader will make me money but the info is to easy to copy/ post and it'll be all over the forum before the days out once a person has bought it. Alex
  18. haha pay my Traders fee and I'll post it all up now.
  19. Thanks for the replay Martinmac, the inital people agreed not to sure the info as they were paying for the it themself. Non of the mebers had a problem with this and were happy. 20. I have e-mailed both the Mods above and hopefully we'll be able to come to a good solution for all members. Alex
  21. if your talking about my vinyl sales, you are right i was never a trader, like you i didn't see my self as a business and didn't want ot be one. i instead made several donations to the club which were more than the traders fee in the first place. that of course was between me and the mods, but in the spirit of an open forum (and i'm sure others have wondered) i thought i'd post it. i've gained alot from the forum; so only thought it fair to give something back; that was partly my skills which club members got at a very reduced rate. and the club got donations from me. i no longer do the work as i don't have the time and haven't sold anything via pm since i poseted up the end of my making about 4 months ago. hope that helps clear up any uncertain issues for everyone I didnt know about the above but thanks for pointing it out. Glad the car is running well. +1 He wont be for long if he carries on Nope no one else involved. Its just the trader fee issue If you give me some way to contact you we can talk. I dont mind if its face to face, phone, e-mail or text. Thanks for everyones input on this..
  22. haha, I'm not allowed to pm. I have other members to think of aswell mate. Alex
  23. People on the fourm sell the same types of items over and over again and there not traders. What makes it different for the people who are known for selling a certain item? I've bought an item of a member and they are known for selling this across the forum. I didnt want if for free, I paid and I'm happy with the purchase. I have an idea I'll put forward to a Mod when I speak to them. If they agree and everything turns out good the details will be posted. In my eyes though theres more than the mods and me involved in this. Alex
  24. Not really, I did get a free aerial though of a nice member and he has folding mirrors. Alex
