  1. Ive just moved house, i live in a semi detatched house, the good thing is the the lounge/bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house, so the stairs run up along the joining wall. But the walls must be very thin. During the day, i done hear anything from them, and then from about 9 in the evening, there TV just seems louder and so is there mouths. I would go ask them politly to shut it, but ive bought this house, me and the wife have moved into a bigger house as were planning for the future, so i dont want to confront them as we dont want to fall out with the neighbours, also with a nice 350z sat on the drive, i dont want my baby being hurt. the house itself is ok condition, but we are redecorating every room, not just paint, but stripping wall paper, replastering and making this a proper home. so if were going to do anythin, now is the time. The stairway itself is 83cm wide, and goes up 8 steps, it then has a small landing before turning right and going up 4 steps at the same width, so without drawing pics the joining wall is the bottom hallway, the first part of the stairway, then the top landing area, the bathroom is also on the joining wall, aswell as the 3rd bedroom. My question is about sound insulation, there must be something out there that will do the job, and not reduce the space up the stairs. like i say though, we are replastering eventually, so if we have to strip back some plaster then i suppose we could do that. thanks for any help.
  2. this one was taken with my sony ericsson satio,a little blur from photshop, but thats it, the sun glare isnt added either, that happened as i pressed the button, didnt stand there for ages to make the perfect shot, it sort of just happened.
  3. Can the mod be done with a 3.5mm lead? If it can I can just buy a 3.5 lead and then splice my iPod lead to the 3.5 leads I can have both connections.
  4. I've just plugged my iPhone 4 into a normal old iPod charger, and it doesn't charge, so it is different, I've seen iPod lead (female) to 3.5mm converter, so when I get proper Internet back and not this slow phone net, I'll order one.
  5. i did the Bose system iPod hack, but I have now got an iPhone 4, I didn't realise that this uses the 3.5 socket instead of the normal iPod connector. Is it possible to get a iPod female connector to a 3.5mm converter? Thanks and sorry for not searching, but on my iPhone and it's soooo slow at the moment.
  6. how much was that? looks sweeeeeeeeeet
  7. im currently doin an 8 mile trip to work, so im getting 24/25 MPG, and thats slow moving traffic for about 2 of those miles. but at the end of the month, im moving house, and moving job.....on the same day, so will be reducing to 2000 miles a year, and the trip to work is a nice cruise to work.
  8. i agree with you, if he gets the MOT done then it may be worth 11k. if he cant be bothered to pay 30 quid for the MOT then he knows something you dont. i would walk away and wouldnt go back, even if he drops it to 10.5k, if he cant be bothered to sort an MOT out then thats telling me the car hasnt been looked after. for that money you would get a minter, and you should continue your search for a looked after zed.
  9. I dont know mate, why would the engine feel like its lost all power, almost as if the exhaust gas cant escape quick enough, It did happen when I had a stock exhaust too. The carbon on the bumper was roughly the size of this comma , but flecked all around the tail pipe area on the bumper. Traction control works in various ways, it can brake on some of the wheels, it also can reduce the spark to one or more cylinders, or reduce fuel to cylinders, so you would feel the engine "lose power". some cars (if fitted with drive by wire) can close the throttle, and turbo engines, the boost solenoid could be actuated this then reduces the boost, and reduces the power. I dont know what system nissan use, but most cars that i have worked on use the braking to some of the wheels, which work with the ABS. from what you say it does sound like TC kicking in, ive had this before, its annoying, but ive only had it when changing gear very quickly, and usually from 1st to 2nd. hope that helps.
  10. ive had that, im sure its the TC kicking in
