Well Mark, here's another crazy idea.... The space where the triple gauge cluster is. Take the existing volt oil and MFD out and see if you can combine the hollow space with OLED displays. Similar sort of thing they did with the Optimus Keyboard, in which every single key is an OLED display in itself and can be changed to the users preference.

How about asking the carbon boys (scottsoulby, Carbon Coops) about having the alu bits made in CF, and then instead of having the lettering painted/stickered on, have the lettering stamped into the gelcoat and then filled with white paint. That should last, shouldn't it?

I have a K1 and my Zed is my daily driver too. Drive to work and everything. Absolutely love it. Consider your Zed a service to your community, because I'm sure that in my neighbourhood, nobody is ever late for work, thanks to the K1 alarm clock.....that's strikes at 6am, lol. but if you are that worried about the noise, then just keep the bungs in, and once the exhaust had coked up a bit, it will settle.
