  1. My local independent locksmith used a standard key clone cutter and it worked first time
  2. You reckon there's enough of it to cover the car?
  3. Easy solution, make neighbour offer on house, buy house, knock down house = bigger garden Alternatively, strip newly acquired house out for ZedShed v2.0
  4. Bright Yellow, will look great when rolling out with Chris' green one
  5. Make a cuppa and have a biscuit and relax No the rubber tray is NOT re-used, it won't fit properly. The best way I found to reassemble is to hold the back half and then line up the keyblade, with button and spring inside, into position. You'll notice a little bit of the spring poking out sideways, which needs to "hook" onto the plastic nib in the seating hole. Once lined up and while still holding everything in position, turn the keyblade counterclockwise (one rotation is sufficient), this will build up the tension. Once done, while holding the whole thing together, line up with the other half (best when it's laying on the table). Whilst landing the back half onto the front half, slip out your finger that has been holding the button down. then just screw it all back together and voila, job done. Hope this helps Ok that has sorted out the flip blade gubbins -cheers! Now will try and get the circuit board to fit! David Just curious, but is your Zed a JDM? The reason I ask is when rodgeevans came round to pick up the exhaust and we disassembled the flip key for the first time, we did notice that the buttons on the JDM OEM key were smaller than the UKDM OEM. If its not that, perhaps use some Blu Tack to position and hold?

  7. eBay Nissan badges arrived today, looks good Here's a pic side by side with the OEM key
  8. AFAIK no model of the Nissan range has a folding/flip key. I remember seeing CAD designs of this shell last year before it went into production by a third party company. These shells do not come with badges attached or otherwise enclosed. These are deffo not genuine Nissan shells
  9. Here you go, I disassembelled my other fob to show you, The back half holds the battery on a raised mold, so yes, the circuitry will be secure
  10. Late Valentines present for the missus maybe?
  11. You could feel the green areas with something like blu tack or clay or blu tack with ball bearings......
  12. Under the Blu Tack (which in my case is White Tack)
  13. I dare you post a pic of your subwoofer setup on busters speaker upgrade thread, lmao. Was nice meeting you too, looking forward to when everything comes together for your Zed
  14. Yup, regular key cutting shop. Best just take the blade only, because its difficult to fix the whole thing onto the cutting machine.
  15. **UPDATE** rodgeevans has come and picked up the K2 today Moderators, feel free to close/lock this thread, thank you
  16. Right, took it apart and trimmed the button frame Now there is nothing from the button frame going on the sloped bit It has improved it somewhat, but if you press immediately to the right of the unlock button on the frame (see pic below), then it will unlock, but you will have to press quite hard for it to do so. I did put the key in my pocket and started to pat my pocket for about five minutes to see if it would unlock, but it didn't, which is good news The lock button works fine and does not have any issues. The whole unit is somewhat light, but I'm ok with that. Key blade feels solid and the housing does not flex at all when turned in the ignition. All in all I'm happy with it
  17. Slight niggle for me is that the unlock button can be activated due to pressure on the side of the fob that goes narrower. Will have to see if my theory is correct that it is because its narrowing and they used the buttons which are the same as the original key which is usually a flat surface. Will modify and get back to you ( good thing I bought two )
  18. Yeah, I noticed that, but I'll hold off for a few days and see how it sits. Last time, with the K2, I adjusted it to sit perfectly straight, only to have it go out of line again after a few weeks, guess it needs some heat cycles to settle down, so I'll wait for that first Will deffo try and get a video done, just gotta wait for the weather to improve
  19. Yeah, deffo upside down, show Dixon my pic and clip him round the ears, lol I have also noticed something else, yours has flexis, mine hasn't, mine has interference fit instead
  20. I remember it well. the flip key back then was for the US version which had the fob seperate from the key, right? Yup. I also tried with a few different VAG & Vauxhall fobs at the time but the internals were too big I had a problem with a VAG that was too big once Harry Potter Dave?
  21. Be aware tho, CinCity had a spell of bad rep a while back on the US forums. Issues with lights taking a long long time to be finished, quality standards below par and other issues. I do not know whether these issues have been resolved since.
