Thanks for the help on this guys. (Espesh Zedrush - thanks for the PM , I await part 2...) I am teh noob when it comes to tax and Property but I can see great potential if you get it right. Interesting what you say about offshore accounts - it seems there's less benefit than I thought... ...Unless you are some kind of shady James Bond bad guy that is!

I've recently started working with my Dad on a property he plans to sell (He bought it super cheap). It'll require a lot of hard work but we are both industrious and he stands to make a good profit from it. He has asked if I'd be interested in getting into the next one with him and split the money. I've never been involved with property like this before and just started looking at the figures. Am I right that I will get taxed insanely on this? Capital gains + Income tax etc = about half your profit gone straight off? Makes you want to cry. - You bust your balls to scrape yourself out of the gutter and make something for yourself and get slapped for your troubles? So my other question....Whats the best way to avoid this? (Legally!) Anyone know about registering businesses overseas or offshore accounts? Sorry for being so ignorant but I really want to make a go of this. Thanks

Yeh was thinking of that but you know me Im more about looks, putting a turbo in it is a bonus but as long as the looks are striking All show and no go. What about a Mini then. I thought the same....how the hell can all these people in their early 20s afford a Zed?! I have a decent job, don't smoke, drink much or blow my money on ridiculous stuff and I can barely afford one (I'm 27) I guess it's all Finance, Living at home or Rich Parents! I guess if I'd have stayed at home and not gone travelling I could have picked one up much earlier, but I don't regret a second of it. Plus having your own place makes things MUCH easier if you want to invite a young lady round.....

One motor I always thought had potential is the Hyndai Coupe (Tuscani) Yes the old ones looked a bit pants but the siii looks pretty sexy and the top engine 2.7 V6 has a lot of potential I reckon. Just a shame that as standard they are so weedy. They go for 8/9k at the mo. Then all you need to do is slap a Hana kit on and it's already lookin hot...

As an ex-Hellfrauds employee I would say you are looking at either Wynns Engine flush or Redex Petrol treatment. Wynns is the harsher one that flushes the interior. Can be hit and miss but I wouldn't bother on yours as the Zed engines are pretty new and efficient anyway. If you wanted you could use Redex which helps in a somewhat more gentle way through sticking a bit in your next fill up. It then clears deposits as it's used. The old Redex for carb engines used to be able to be stuck in the plug holes and even direct into the carbs inlets! My old MG smoked like it was on fire for about 5 mins but it worked!

I have a strange thing going on (I think with my brakes) After a decent journey I will start to get a really loud squeal that sounds like it's coming from my brakes at the back right. BUT..the weird thing is the squeal only happens when I DON'T brake, it's constant during driving. When I DO brake the squeal goes. The squeal doesn't increase with revs or speed. Its just constant after a long journey and goes when braking. Any ideas people? Appreciate the help! Oh and this is on my FTO.
