  1. Good advice there on a 2nd opinion maxi Lots of people look like they are about to have a heart attack when you bring out your hammer and tapdowns so often find myself explaining what im doing and why... so for those interested.... The chisel's referred to are "tap-downs" used to tap down high areas of the damage. When a dent is caused it will often move metal somewhere causing a high area/s usually surrounding the dent, especially if on areas such as bodylines etc. (Just like dropping a stone into sand would create a mound of sand around it, same principal) This surrounding metal is formed in all sorts of shapes, sizes and severity but is trapped pressure that needs to be removed so that the dent can be removed without stretching the metal and so your not left with high areas of course! Tap downs are normally made of certain types of plastic such as derlin, ultem etc. Believe it or not you can actually use a highly polished metal tap downs also which will not mark your paint as long as used correctly!

  9. Not sure if any of you have seen but Japfest are now holding a Pre-Japfest track day due to the high demand on the Friday. http://www.japfest.co.uk/news/news_frid ... k_day.html We will probably be setting up the stand and checking out what’s going on at some point on Friday so there may also be the opportunity to have some repairs carried out on the Friday as well. Maybe if any of you have large / complex dents then this may be a good time to get them repaired (price on inspection or you can send me a photo as a couple have done already). We will be limited to time on the Saturday and this will be allocated to your typical door dings, trolley dents, minor creases etc. Show Price of £40 for a panel Any questions or to book yourself in either pm me on here or come and see us at Quarry corner on the day

If it is a wrap you want then for sure give them a call, they know their stuff and will design anything you want! Not sure where your from but i used the Hampshire branch and dealt with Sam Williams.

We will be repairing cars throughout the event at a special 'event only' rate so be sure to take advantage. So those of you with cars that are suffering from any dings, dints, dents, impressions, creases, high-spots whatever you want to call them, come along and Visit our stand @ Quarry corner and have us take care of them for you. You can either watch us make those dents disappear and restore your car back to its former glory or enjoy some of the best track action at Quarry while were doing the hard work its up to you! If your not having a car repaired be sure to stop by, take a look and say hi anyway. There is obviously going to be limited spaces, if anyone is interested we could arrange some pre-event booking for you so let me know names in advance!
