Hi fiddy, to the rescue as always I followed the instructions from the AEM and removed the water boter but the hard pipes dont't line up. i then tried installing it in front of the radiator but when you connect everthing the MAF does not line properly with the pipe comming from hole through the cross member?! It's my impression that on of the pipes has the wrong angle or that i may just be very clumsy or thick or both Will send a pic of my set u; but its as it should be: zed tube to MAF and then cone filter with the necessary tubing in between:P i tried swapping all the various adaptors, gaskets and hose tube sections and no difference was made.

I got this a while back from Sunset350z and fitted it as a short ram a la JWT popcharger but tried to install it as a full CAI which was almost imposible despite all the possible permutations/combinations attempted. I finally gave up but need to sort this out now as i have a major tune date soon I would very much appreciate your advice on how you got around this. I spoke to the sole distributors of this in the UK and they don't have any instruction manuals but claim Bigphil was their main client and got a few units off them with no problems . http://www.invoauto.co.uk/images/Produc ... 57-LRG.gif

Nice one lads, sorry i only did not stay very long to help but moreso i could see you guys were copping just fine Good job so far and it will look the doggs danglies once it is all completed. i think you should have test fitted everything first and correcting all the little faults as to be expected because you would have to do so in the end to be really satisfied. Looking forwards to seeing the finished car soon Just in passing: my trip to Coventry was very sucessful and i had a reasonable assessment of the Utec piggyback in action. i will be there up again to test it on my car after which the deal should be sealed

Absolutely love it aggree with the front lip in CF and a rear diffuser i would sell that bonnet( you know am not a fan of the scoop section.....vents are ok.) and go for the seibon one and finish it off with the B pillars CF covers +/_ CF roof overlay but i aggree that it is too pricey for what it is I can get you an unmarked Seibon OEM-style CF bonnet for under £450 from a pal.

Hi bud, the catch can has a short tube and actually looks like the cusco one with HKS emblem :http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model=350z&cat=engine&prodid=1358 I was thinking of fitting it in the front bay in the space vacated by the CAI just like in the pics but still does not show where both pipe plumb into i think one is from the feed that goes into the zed tube but what about the other? Depends on what size pipes it comes with and what you want to vent. When you remove your CAI you will see a pipe that fits under it. follow this pipe and remove, then fit the catch and put one pipe to under the cai tube and one to the end where the hose used to be! This should be a 16mm diameter hose.... If the hose is smaller like 14mm you want to be looking at the other side of the engine bay... Where the sparks are on the left there is a hose that links to a connector on the front of the plenum (you will need to remove the engine cover to see it. remove pipe and fit CC with the hoses linking to the 2 connectors from the removed hose... Not sure which side is better to vent. most of the cusco ones seem to be fitted to vent on the left hand side of the engine bay, but I have seen the ones venting from the CAI too! Thanks Mr snake man At least i know where the vibra-mount goes now but i had already installed it as a short ram up to this point as you could see in Stratford My problem is with the bits behind the front bumper especially as there is a shield which protects the cone from direct contact with water dont want to gets this wrong

Anyone come accross a fitting guide for: - an HKS style oil catch can.............ahem.... cusco cc - Invoauto CAI or Injen which is near identical i have it worked out but there are so many bits that a giude would help so i don't waste my whole saturday on this thanks

good you changed your mind Ian....................anyway "we" can revisit the idea again in 3yrs time about stepping into the R35

This has become available as i have now fitted a CAI Really don't know what it is worth so make me a reasonable offer It is in immaculate condition and i also have an HKS superhybrid filter for the best performance in combination with the air box(see other sale post).

I had this on the car for just over 3K and it is better than stock Also makes a subtle induction whoop but not as compared to a JWT or any short ram. i have had to change this for a CAI so i could fit my HKS style oil catch can, though i personally believe that in NA tune the factory air box with an upgraden panel filter like this one is better than a short ram/CAI anytime £25 delivered or £20 pick up
