Hello everyone Finally sold my zed for a price I was happy with, just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for all the help and advice this really is the best forum I have ever used! As for my new car, we have worked out a car share with 2 other people taking it in turn to drive a week each which saves loads on fuel so could still get something a bit fun so went for.......Astra VXR I know this may not be the most popular option but it was a barain and nuts to drive, it really is mad, which I love about it and such a hoot to throw around. I have had an 07 Gti before with the DSG, was ok but wouldnt want another one - has anyone owned/driver a focus ST before? the ST-3 spec looks pretty smart loads of kit and the face lift 08's seem like a pretty smart car!

As some will know from my previous posts, I am having to sell my Zed, but what to buy next..........? I want to get something that is a bit better on the MPG's but I cant bring myself to sell out and go head first into the low engine and slow speed hatch backs (corsa festa etc) I also want something I can play around with and mod a bit with out it looking chavy! (eg putting 19" chrome wheels on a saxo) and still goes quite quick when I want it to but will save fuel when I am on the drive to work! I used to have a Mk V Gti which would go quite well when I wanted fun and then I could get 40+mpg on the drive to work but I dont want another golf but you see where I am coming from So any top tips, budget of around 15k and ideally something newer rather than older! .......

I am not that worried about loss as I havent had it that long I paid 'recession prices' for it anyway so its all relative I guess.

I am split down the middle at the minute, really pleased about the job change but totally gutted about the car, there is just no way I could run it that much every day and it would knock £1000's off by racking up those miles. On a plus point I have a few months before I change so plenty of time to sell it. Oh and forgot to mention in the add it has an S2000 stubby, but cant see that adding much value

Hello all, I dont really want to be writting this but I have to, I am thinking of selling my 350, after wanting one for ages and only getting it a few months ago I am thinking it will have to go again! I am changing where I work which is great for me but it means a much longer drive to work, I dont think I can really afford the fuel bill and I dont really want to put lots of miles on the car and run it into the ground. A car like the zed I think should be enjoyed not just driven to and from work, but anyway enough of my sadness! The car; 350z Roadster in Gun Metal grey 20k Miles It is being serviced tomorrow and having its first MOT, so will come with 12 months on both 5 Months left on the tax (this is one of the last cars to still be £210 a year instead of £400) New front tyres and about 50% on the back Optional extras GT pack (black leather) Birdview sat nav after market blue tooth aluminium air vents Bad bits (there is always something might as well be hoenst) a few stone chips on the front bumper the front two alloys have a few small marks on them passenger seat has a slight mark on the leather I only have 1 key, the previous owner lost the second Other than that it looks great and is scratch free, looked in great condition which is why I bought it. I wont give you all the sales pitch and tell you the spec of the car or what the GT pack is, im sure we all know that. Having read the first page the issue was never to charge people anyway just to restrict the viewing of posts to members to encourage more to join and stop people seeing forum discounts/guides/pics etc with out having to join in. So even if this was an up to date post as a member you have nothing to worry about anyway!

I'm sure there was something on the telly about it being a myth that is is too cold to snow. After all, if that were true it would never snow at the Arctic/Antarctic! I may be wrong but isnt it something to do with ground and air temp? if its cold on the ground then great no moisture to melt the snow when it falls but if its cold in the sky it just becomes hail?!?? I might be wrong as I am basing this on what I remember from geography at school.......

I was working a few weeks ago at night when they said it would get cold and it did! -10.5C I saw, now that was cold! bad thing about that is too cold to snow and I like a bit of snow, not so good for driving rear wheel drive cars in though!

If they havnet done a good job or its not what you want I am sure they will put it right and prob throw something in for the hassle if you complain, dealers are so keen to sell at the min that they will practically wipe your arse for you! That said if they dont do it and refuse to give you your deposite back then just walk away with out giving any more money. Then write to them through recorded delivery telling them that you are rejecting the car under the sales of goods act 1979 as it is not fit for purpose, then go on to list all the reasons why it isnt. Offer them a solution eg fixing the car (obviously with some money off for your hassle) or returning your £500 and go on to say that if this isnt done within 7 days you will start county court proceding! Firstly that is a very nice looking zed Secondly I am afraid yes they are illigal, and some traffic cop with f*ck all else to do with fine you £30 for that! the arguement being that it cant be read by speed cameras or ANPR
