I am glad you all shared my view, what a joke! I can see no reason why I cant put any tyres on I watned and to try and say my tyre was illigal to start with, IT HAD 6mm OF TRED ON IT!

My car went to the Oxford Nissan today, called Sims I think, not that impressed, although the first lady I spoke to was very friendly she didnt call back to confirm my appointment. The 2nd lady was a little short and snappy I thought. It was going in under warrently for the head light washer not working and the switch on the back of the passengers seat. When I took it in they started talking about charging me for fueses if I needed any on the work I was having done (come on nissan they are like 50p, get real) So 3hrs later I get a phone call telling me that they have just finished the safety check and my N/S/F is illigal - I told them that unless they had done 5,000 in the last 3hrs in my car it bloody wasnt. Still insisting that it was they tried to sell me one of thier 'lovely' Brigestones at £215 a tyre. I was then put on to the sales manager who told me it was a mistake but as the tyre was not Bridgestone the warranty was not valid and they wouldnt do any work on it, they would of course be happy to sell me 4 Bridgestones for nearly a grand or I could come and get my car with no work done. Quick call to the swindon dealer with a 'hypothetical question' about tyres and warranties (they obviously said it was bollocks) and an angry neil back on the phone to Oxford telling them where to go, up shot was no futher talk of needed new tyres and work done (well parts ordered) Its a bit out of order though isnt it, someone more trusting (or less tight) would prob have parted with the best part of a grand then and I bet they would have sold my nearly new tires as part worns to a yard somewhere. Clearly just a money making scam - beware!

I get flashed by people too, I have noticed it tends to be country foke on back roads who dont see that many nice cars. People just think that you have your main beam on! I have had other cars with Xenons and got flashed,I have to say it happens a lot less now that they are becoming a lot more popular and widey used people are used to them.

I am starting to think I might just not bother!

Hello, I am trying to change my side lights and I am struggling does anyone have a vid or a guide they could post. All it says in the handbook is to take it to nissan! I cant imagine everyone here has paid there massive prices to have a few bulbs changed! Any tips or advicve pls? Merry Christmas!

Having just bought one I maybe able to help, I paid 12k for a 2006 55 Zed roadster with GT and Sat nav as well as an aftermarket fitted bluetooth. Only done 19k and has 6 months tax. That was with some pretty hard negotiation and most of a similar spec wouldnt take that price. So I would think in this market you may struggle to get 15k but would easily get 13k to 14k on a quick sale.

well seeing as we are talking cars, first car was a rover 214, now on my 8th car and paying £750 on insurance with 4 years no claims and no points (only 23 though!) And yes out of the 8 the Zed is the best, had a mark 5 Gti and this is much better, the 3.5 is far better than a turbo 2.0, at higher speeds it feels so much more powerful and comfortable.... and then there is the sound!

I did wonder why the roadsters only had buttons on one side of the steering wheel! Well I can agree with nissans assumtions ever since I have owned a roadster I have had no need for a phone, I just drive next to the house of the person that I want to talk to and using the genius of a convertible I just lower the roof and shout. I can only guess that is what Nissan had in mind when they decided that roadsters didnt need hands free!!!!! However I am pleased to report through the power of google I have got it up and running and it is a motorola HF850 and its pretty good, I had built in factory fit SAAB blue tooth in my previous car (a saab strangly enough) and this is much better.

Hello all, I bought my zed with a bluetooth kit in it, does anyone know if this is facrtory fit or something that has just been done by halfords. It seems to work ok but I cant pair my phone to it, I can find the device and then when I try to connect it asks for a code, I have tired all the obvious options but every time it just pops up saying 'connection failed' - if this is a factory fit device then its under warrenty so nissan can sort it, if not has anyone got anything like this in thiers and knows the code or any advice.

Hello all, Hope everyone is well? I have the bose sound system as part of the GT pack in my zed and I was just wondering what everyone thought about it, I think its pretty good but has anyone done any upgrades that make a big difference? I think the sub behind the seat is a nice touch dont get that on most cars! That said when its cold, normally on start up, it jumps for the first 10 mins or so, pretty badly, does anyone know a cure? Merry Christmas

I am also curious about this, I have the birds view nav too, if I took out the nav DVD from the player behind the passenger seat and put it any other dvd would it play on my birds view screen?

I am taking mine into Nissan soon to get something fixed on warrenty I will ask them then and see what they can do - Watch this space!!!

Hello, I have noticed that the heated seats on my zed arnt that hot, mine is a 55 and the 07 I test drove was the same, compaired to my mates R32 which practically burn your bum off on the hottest setting? Anyone else agree or is it just mine and if so any quick fix ideas? Also just only had my zed a week and just wanna say I am loving this forum, much better than any for other cars I have owned

Thanks for the advice, I think its def a cold thing, have you noticed that the bose CD skips a bit in the cold too? mine does for the first 5 mins or so! Came from a golf Gti which is very diff to drive being a turbo instead of just a nice big v6

Looks smart, side and rear views are the best and those wheels are great! how much did all that work set you back? Are those standard rear lights or LED, got any pics of it wit the lights on at night?

mate dont be silly, I am not suggesting that one gear all the time is best and I dont need driving lessons, I am just saying has anyone else noticed that it prefers to be in a higher or lower gear compaired to most cars when just driving normally. Its normally when its cold, do a lot of people have that problem then? is that normal??

Hello - only had my zed a week now and I am noticing that shifting from 3rd to 2nd is quite hard and you need quite a bit of force to engage the gear. 1st to 2nd is fine and when the car isnt moving or going very slow 3rd to 2nd is ok? Is this normal, something wrong with the car or something I am doing wrong, should I just be using 3rd more and if so what speed would you stay in 3rd or take 2nd. (approching a juction etc etc)

I had a look on ebay I could find loads that would fit the car and were just plain black but I was after some with some sort of logo on can anyone post a link..... as for tyres I have 225/45/18 on the front and 255/45/18 on the rear. If I had to put the space saver on, does it have to go on the front or back or can it go on either, I know on an S2000 if u get a rear flat u have to put the front on the back and the space saver on the front or something stupid.....

Hello all, I am a new 350z owner, got mine yesterday and I am loving it! However I am after some advice on the following and wonder if anyone knows, sorry if this is really obvious stuff but like I said I am new... 1) Does anyone know of a good place to use for service etc in or near oxford? 2) I love the new LED lights on the rear sadily mine doesnt have them as its a 2006 55 plate, any ideas where I can get some cheaply? 3) any top tips on any interior mods that look really good? 4) I am after some branded floor mats with like a 350z or nissan logo etc but cant find any, does anyone know? 5) any tips on tyres and what size tyres should be on there, as I am not sure the previous owner used the right ones, as far as I am aware they are standard 18 wheels but not sure he has the right tyre on there. 6) any advice on products to smarten the seats up, the leather is looking a little tired and could do with a kick of new life! 7) anything else I need to know or any advice or suggestions Many thanks and I hope to chat to some other owners soon.
