Thanks for the link. Looks like ZMANALEX will be able to sort me out

I need to change my spark plugs and am thinking I'll do it myself. Rang Opie oils and they reckon they don't sell anything suitable for the 297 engine Does anyone know where the best place to get some NGK plugs for a MY06 from is? Cheers

Nice result

Nice colour!

Did you consider the MREV2 a worth while improvement? I assume by what you say you get more midrange torque and more power at the top once remapped? I'd say it was definitely a worth while improvement, but only if you're planning on having a remap. To be honest, I think any bolt on mod for the 350z needs a remap to go with it.

Seems like everything is going wrong at the moment. Had a bit of an argument with a concrete post a couple of weeks ago, left a nice dent and scratched paint work on the passenger door Dropped the car off at the body shop last Friday and got it back today. They've done a great job, looks excellent and all seems well with the world again. Until about 2 min into the drive home when I notice I suddenly have a CEL light on I haven't got an OBDII so I checked the code manually, and assuming I've read it correctly the code is 171 which translates as 'system too lean bank 1'. I'm assuming it's something to do with the Uprev tune I had at the end of January so I'll give RS Tuning a call in the morning to see what they reckon.

Yes, and I think a lot of people have been confusing the issue on here recently with their posts. Ok, so with the RevUp engine, they redesigned the lower plenmum/collector with a view to increase top end HP IMO to chase numbers. This meant a loss of torque and also rendered the plenum spacer useless. The MREV2, is a new lower collector - which ironically is pretty much the non-RevUp lower collector - which gives back the low down torque but loses a bit of the high end power - to be expected. The spacer can then be used again to bump the power back up. So non-RevUp (MY03-05) just needs the spacer RevUp (MY06) needs MREV2 and spacer to work When I had my MREV2 fitted, I still showed a top end loss even with the spacer also fitted. Needed a remap to make back the top end and then further improved it as well.

+1 only need the MREV2 on the Revup engine

Here you go To be hones I was a little disappointed when they did the initial run as I was expecting more from the stock engine, but hey As you can see, the stock intake was better pre tuning than my after market intake. Adding the MREV2 and spacer gained me a fair chunk in the mid range, at the expense of some top end power. After the remap the top end was regained and also got more right across the graph. I'm really happy with how it feels now, just pulls so much better in every gear. Much more power available down low now and it also runs much smoother in low revs. I could gain more with a Y-pipe and some high flow cats, but that will have to wait for a bit

Haven't got access to a scanner at the moment but I'm running at about 292 bhp I think (don't have the graph in front of me at the moment, at work). To be honest the figures aren't that important to me, I just know it feels much better now! Do you know what power you made at the wheels? At the wheels it's 242.4 bhp, but that's not really the important bit. You're never going to gain massive amounts of top end power unless you go FI. The important bit is gaining more bhp and torque lower down, that makes all the difference!

As we're all being a bit pedantic (me included) it's two V8's making it a W16, each V8 is twin turbo

I think the 0-60 time quoted by Nissan is 5.8 seconds. I've never tried to test it out myself, and I don't think I ever will!

Just spend the cash on tuning the car you've got. Plenum spacer, high flow cats and a re-map will leave you with a better car than a GT4.

Reminds me of the phonejacker Goooooooooooooood afternoon sir

I love the way it's described as a "show car" I'm struggling to imagine what sort of show that car would be suitable for... (insert your own punch line here)

Just come across this and thought it was very interesting http://my350z.com/forum/na-builds/472547-327whp-new-intake-plenum-ls2-90mm-tb-dynos-video-pics.html

Yes it was done at RS tuning in Leeds. They had a bit of a discount in Jan which I took advantage of http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=30674

Had my ECU tuned at RS Tuning last Friday and I have to say I'm very pleased with the result. Also had the MREV2 and spacer fitted that I bought from Bennett (thanks mate ). All I can say is wow! The car now feels so much more alert and eager to get going. Throttle response is sharper, it's like a new car now! I've gained about 30 ft lbs of torque in the mid range which does make a big difference. It just pulls like a train now I'd probably gain a bit more with some high flow cats and an aftermarket Y-pipe, but that will have to wait a while. For now I'm more than pleased with the result. To anyone thinking whether or not to get an UpRev tune, just do it. It's by far the best mod you can do on a zed. In terms of bang for buck, it's the value out there Big thanks to the guys at RS Tuning, top lads and a highly recommended service.

"this is mi love ov min life" ...That's just depressing People who write like this shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Best advice I can give is don't get angry or start shouting, even if you really want to! I always find you get better results if you are polite and pleasant. Hope you get it sorted ok
