  1. Not really, I've been rained off, I'm off tomorrow so praying for decent weather so I can have another go. I'll get some pics of the in progress asap.
  2. Ah the stairs to the Tuxedo Royale/Princess Nice car, good price.
  3. Right, i had a go last night, offered it up, cut a few bits, and it was going quite well. Front end of a Z must be very wide compared to a leon . The 90 degree bends on the splitter turn in about 8 inches short of the end of the bumper. Offering it up, its exactly what I want, it looks very oem and subtle but no idea how i going to cut and mount it right. If it stops raining I'll have another look at it today. Noticed while doing this that the plastic guard under the engine has lost loads of its little plastic mountings

  5. Well i've been to seat and bought a Cupra R splitter for a whole £23 Just had a quick look to see how it might fit, looks like I might get away with it, definetly the middle bit. Either way its going on this weekend at some point so we shall soon find out.
  6. Need to replace the little plastic/rubber lip under the front bumper and wondering if anyone has tried any standard items from other manufacturers/cars. I know lots of VW people put leon cupra lips on all sorts of cars. Just the nissan replacement is bloomin rediculous price. Was fancyin a 996 turbo one as there are a couple on ebay but think it could be a total mare to make it fit.
  7. ...I was in the silver one, sorry half asleep, I did wave, eventually
  8. Oooh now i'm tempted, how much? and where from?
  9. To be honest, I think you'd be ok on an R6 (you don't have to nail it) but you'd have no confidence and probably go off biking quickly. Try sitting on one in a showroom, its like riding a missile you are basically lying on your front. I'd gain a bit of confidence first, buy a cheap sv650 or something that your happy to drop because you will drop it, probably at nearly 0mph but you'll drop it, probably more than once and you might not even be on it (dropped my sv of its stand whilst trying to chat up my current wife, what a dick!). Have to say probably the best thing you can do is put the miles on, commute on it and you'll get good very quickly. I did sv for about 13,000miles, gsxr6 for about 10,000miles, z750 for about 13,000miles and then a CBR954 Fireblade which got binned and haven't ridden since. Out of all of the z750 was the most fun I've ever had and kept with sportsbikes on trackdays.
  10. Thinking of getting wheels refurbed by thewheelspecialist.co.uk in Newcastle all four done in a day, tyres off, blasted, powdercoated, lacquered and baked then back on the car, for about £340, seems like a good price. Anybody got any experience with them, fella seems canny on the phone. Question is do I stick with stock silver, anthracite or satin black??!?!?
  11. Used to have bikes, sv650, gsxr600, z750, 954 blade, did a few trackdays and the ring and rode them everyday, about 13k a year. Had a big crash on the blade in 2007, came off at about 95 after hitting catseyes on a straight bit of road and bike went into a massive tank slapper and threw me off, was on the wrong side of the road for about 100 yards and was very lucky as was uninjured except for broken ribs and collar bone. Missus won't even comprehend me having another one (can't blame her). Anyhoo, they are mint, the most fun you will have, but be careful they can be a handful, treat everyone as a total bike hating lunatic, don't cut corners and get on a track asap.
  12. Concentrating on NOS is daft, younguns will be younguns and people will get hurt regardless of car value/power/size, I think the only people to blame are often the parents. You can't get in a powerful car when your a nipper unless your mum and dad are loaded and soft, its too expensive. Once parents start helping with insurance and the like it all goes to pot. Nixy hit the nail on the head, the lads who understand the value of what they have are less keen to throw it away. Sayin all of that when I have nippers I will probably buy them a car as an excuse to the missus so I can play in it, "Son, I've bought you a Caterham, but your not insured and you aren't allowed to drive it so hop in and I'll take you to McDonalds"
  13. Have to say I think it looks a bit different and not too over the top which I thought it would, well done on having the balls to do it. Also £400?!?!?!?! how, where are they, was that a special price just for you?
  14. When I saw rothbury thought that had to be me, but it wasn't, probably my neighboor if it was an 08
  15. Ex biker, had a tankslapper at about 95 on a straight road in the middle of nowhere after hitting a raised catseye holder with no cateye in it last year, then bought the Z. I absolutely love bikes but they are dangerous. I used my bike everyday in all weathers and noticed a big difference between me and the weekend boys when we went out. To be honest its no wonder so many of them bite the dust. I was quick, and did a few trackdays, nurburgring etc, but not stupid and valued my life. The reality often was that they would never account for a car coming round a corner slightly wide. A lot of bikers whinge about people not seeing them but thats a reality that needs to be accounted for when riding. No doubt about it, there are a lot of @*!# drivers out there but there are a lot of dodgy riders aswell.
  16. Ordered Red Stuff pads and got them within a couple of working days, excellent price and great service. They took a bit of bedding in but have got them sorted now and initial bite is much better than standard and they have good power, well chuffed. Thanks Again!
  17. No disrespect but if you want them to be that picky a service is going to cost you a bit more than £319
  18. ...about 15mins ago, I was at KFC, sounds canny
  19. The reason your photos don't look so great(fuzzy) is because your fuji will automatically have to set your ISO high because there is very little light. You may be able to lower your ISO in a manual mode, needs to be as low as possible to get rid of the grain in the image but then under that sort of light you will need to be doing 20+ second exposures, so you'll need a tripod, and a shutter release. DSLRs can get more light in because they have a bigger lens frint but your still gonna need a tripod and 30 second exposures to shoot in the dark. Photography is all a compromise with the light you have available. Have a look at this to find out more about ISO and before binning your fuji try playing about in manual mode http://www.dpreview.com/learn/?/key=sensitivity
  20. I'm a web developer and do some freelance, most recent photography site is http://www.pictorialphotography.co.uk and is totally managed by the client, also has a client side to the site where clients can buy photos and frames. PM me if your interested. Cheers Tim
