  1. Cool, thanks...what camera mount are you using?!
  2. Anyone has any good tubes of Z's on the track? Missing driving mine now and need some Z loving
  3. I'm sure you could get a gearbox elsewhere in europe cheaper then UK though.
  4. Checked what a second hand gearbox (not even all cd009) is over in Sweden, they start at 1500£ LOL
  5. 1695 USD for a brand new OEM gearbox from the US... how cant it be that much more expensive in the UK!?
  6. yeah 12k is a bit steep Sorry missed OP was on CD008, my two CD009s was pretty well priced, first was junk though and second poppes out of fifth now and then and sounds a bit noisy nothing I cant live with, will see what the fellow mechanics over in this country can do when the time comes (and it will) that I need to replace it.
  7. Just my 2c... refurb the CD009 might not be to bad (depending on place and what needs doing). Has anyone tried to marry a 370Z box to the 350Z? a lot of drifters use the 350Z box so guessing it has been done... took a 5 second pause here and go to google....and I didnt find anything to the 350Z There is always this:
  8. Awesome year, shame to see the green yoke go, love the orange bits!
  9. Sweet in the basket ready for checkout
  10. Just read this thread, awesome revival Z thread, well done! Where is the "howto" get the engine out might need to lift mine a bit!
  11. Holy return batman!!!! Hey Anders how is it with you fella? Good to see you updating on your progressí ½í±. The only thing I can add is wrt the crankcase venting. If you have issues with high pressures or you want to get the best venting possible and completely oil free charge air then you should not hesitate torun with 2 mini filters VTA and drilling the driver side PCV. This solved the issue I had with smoking at high load/WOT when I was supercharged and running about 15psi at full boost. I have continued to VTA even returning to NA temporarily and the car runs great. I have a one way valve between the pcv and filter on the drivers side so it can only vent but just a mini-filter on the rear passenger pcv with no one way valve so it can breathe fresh air into the crankcase or vent at WOT. I was very concerned with oil vapour smell coming into the car but this is very rare and typically happens after sitting slow traffic for a long time then accelerating or on a slow cool down lap slowing after a major beasting. I suspect this happens because the passenger side vent is close to the cabin air intake. This can be sorted by locating the mini-filter away from there. The second issue is that you can get a very slight film/drops of oil around the minifilters but this I easily cured by instaling the filters upright with a 90deg elbow or preferably a baffled occ between the vent and the filter. All good here mate, thanks for the venting info, will be goind down that route for sure. Without me having to measure do you know the diameter of each filter you used? Some filters have a little baffle at the bottom sorting out the drip drop Im guessing Did get some info from the US that some people route it down under the engine so it doesnt go into the cabin
  12. Hey, yeah decided to give the Viking country a shot
  13. Sorry didn't see your reply on the other thread . Sorry to inconvenience you ..... No bother You saw this? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/94380-torqen-lowest-price-350z-akebono-nissan-front-rear-14-big-brake-kit-upgrade/ If you are that hot in getting a set you better hit buy now before you change your mind what wheels are on your Z at the moment?
  14. Yay, welcome to the Nankang club You running them? Yup, they seem fine for me, I have the odd issue in the wet, if you push it a bit too hard for wet weather, but in the dry they are fine. what sizes and compound do you use? Have you had a chance to test them on track?
  15. lots of poor pedestrians will be hit by Teslas... no petrol no fun...
  16. Yay, welcome to the Nankang club You running them?
  17. Oh I managed to fit some NANKANG S2R's to the car *I know... ditch tyre brand, I've BEEN really enjoying them far better then I first thought they'd be allthough they're 225's the rear has a LOT of traction and the fronts *soft compound has given me nothing but high G's taking turns at speeds I never thought possible Will update once I get to go on a track in Sweden!
  18. He's back! So browsing through my progress thread a bit has happened and a bit has not happened, most of the things I have stockpiled is still in a bag waiting for me to try and fit. The car has moved country AND identity, currently Swedish registration *not sure how I managed to get it through the MOT but there you go The life of the Z has not been 100% smooth, had a cooler bust problem luckily noticed it quicksmart and did an even quicker repair. Need to be replaced once I find a good replacement, probably will get the same one. Bust my oil lines going to the oil cooler on my way to work also managed this time to catch it quick enough to save the engine but got slapped with a rather high bill to get it transported to a tuning house and new hoses fitted. Lesson learnt! At least I've managed to enjoy her properly after far to long sitting in a garage. I managed to get the exhaust cam control sorted temperatures have been steadily low! (and got some bonus HP/TORQ) On the list *while winter prohibits me driving it. * Possibly mount the Akebono kit that's been sitting in the garage, this is looking a bit 50/50 at the moment since it looks not to clear my 18 RAYS V1 and I've got no funds to get 2 full sets of wheels at the moment * Fit the Haltech I/O Expander, need some advice on how to hook up the cabling to the Haltech ECU and my oil temperature sensor, hunt continues on the interweb * Fix my catch can setup, thinking on dumping it all together and run open filters, drill out the PCV valve and attach two crank case vent filters. This is to lower the crank pressure. * Make a call on fitting O2 Widebands from Haltech, Fitting some diff cross bar, new ARB's, 1000cc injectors, full return system, get a new fuel pump or dump it all to the market. * Get my mini pc setup and hooked to the Haltech for nice monitoring of the sensors *that's actually going to happen * Fix a swirl tank for the spot boiling of water that the sweet APS kit has a problem with, currently looking at different options input would be greatly appreciated. Think that's it... not hunting for more power at the moment but a stable enjoyable daily driver *after the snow is gone that is.
  19. did you check ebay mate, if not do. I have told you what a new set will set you back do the math, 50% for a good used set I would say. + discs +pads

    Akebonononono

Nissan should have them not sure to be honest, some traders do them. Not sure about UK though. Would be slightly surprised if they dont a new set from the US set you back about 1500$ + shipping, that would be pads and discs inclusive. Call nissan I would be interested to see how much it is from them. I would setup a query on Ebay and wait...
