  1. Ok great cheers, I have already been onto the garage it was bought from (Nissan in Tunbridge) and their service guy is calling me back tomorrow. Fingers crossed its ok!!
  2. I do like them but resale is my main issue as I tend not to keep cars for too long! One has gone up for sale quite cheap but have also got my eye on a roadster but don't really know a great deal about them, I fancy a convertible for the summer though! (this one I am looking at is met.black but almost purple in the pics!)! Excellent choice sir, a man after my own heart Where abouts are you based? Lol thats exactly the same as the one I am looking at! Ive never been a fan of darker cars but looks great in the pics (plus I have a roll of metallic white vinyl to cover her in if I feel the need!). Anything in particular to look for when looking? Cheers (I'm in Wickford, Essex!)

  4. As above would people find these desirable or is it a case of 'yuk - its yellow'!! Are there anything different on these that aren't on normal gt's? Are they common? Thanks

    370Z wanted

Sold my current car now on the lookout for a 370Z. Must have the GT pack/satnav, auto or manual and under 40k miles. Got about £16k burning a hole in my pocket!! Cheers
  6. Well bit of good news my BMW sold yesterday so on the hunt for a 370! Still a little wairy of this one....
  7. I hope so mate, cheaper the better!! I get itchy fingers though when ive sold a car so probably a good thing that mine didnt sell!!
  8. Very true, if it was 10-12k probably worth the punt but its not cheap enough IMO to be worth the gamble! Unfrotunately the guy that came to view my car seemed a bit of a messer so stuck with my bmw until that sells!! Chris
  9. ah bugger could be worth walking away then!
  10. I have had a 2008 335i (E93 convertible) for a few months, lovely thing to drive with the top down but to be honest i'm kind of bored of it already. Fully packed with goodies and it has the paddleshifts which are nice, goes very well in a straight line but not the best on the twisties. Very noisy / rattly engines for 'newer' stlye car. Wastegate rattles are still an issue on these, some have even replaced the turbos and it hasn't cured it!!! No BMW recalls anymore so its a case of putting up with it. Thankfully mine arent that noisy, although generally my runabout fiesta st is quieter on idle!!!!! I am selling it for a 370.......! Chris
  11. Ok great thanks, I dont think he has registered it to himself as he had bought it for his son who in turn buggered off abroad. I think trying to track the plate down is a better option! Worth spending a bit of time on it as you say! Chris
  12. Well I called the guy from the autotrader advert near the top of the thread as I have noticed the price has dropped to £14,950. He said that he bought it from the auctions but it doesnt have a service book. He said it is HPi clear etc.... He seemed a genuine guy (a slightly older chap - he bought it for his son to convince him not to move abroad - it didnt work!!) with a genuine reason to sell. Would Nissan be able to track the history of the car? I have emailed my local dealership about it but wasnt sure if I would have to go to Nissan UK?

  14. Ewan - I dont thnik i'll be in her good books if I cancel it!!! Not HPI'd yet, going to wait until I get a deposit on mine (hopefully the weekend!) then start properly looking. Jay - steering lock issue?! Are there any other bits to look out for apart from the usual? I presume they dont have the rear axle issues clicking like the 350s?
  15. I would love to pay more but unfortunately my budget is where its at with no flexibility! Just bought the missus a car and taking the family to florida in June so no extra i'm afraid!!! Chris
  16. It does look a nice (and cheap) one! I have been looking around the £16k/£17k mark but this will of course save me a few quid! PLus I was going to vinyl wrap it white anyway so that saves me a job!! Are there any buying guides around that i can swat up on just in case it is 'cheap for a reason?'! Cheers
  17. Hi all, I have hopefully got a buyer for my 335i bmw and will be on the lookout for a 370z soon after. I have got my eye on this one that I found on the autotrader.... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201304106194200/sort/default/usedcars/model/370_z/make/nissan/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/postcode/ss129hr/page/1/radius/200/quicksearch/true?logcode=p Would there be anything to say that I shouldn't go for this? I'm still in 2 minds whether to go for a manual or auto (bmw is auto, i love it and am lazy so may stay with auto!), it has the satnav and bose also, plus I would prefer a white one. Could I fit a reversing camera to this one as it has the screen? Are there any options missing? I can't beleive how much prices have fallen all of a sudden! Cheers Chris
  18. Always a good thing flying down to Orlando after, I did exactly that last year, was working in NYC then in Washington, flew the missus over then stayed in Orlando for a fortnight. Off back there in June but doing a week in Miami first!! Can't wait, will be my 10th time - eek!!
  19. Very true they may get it cheaper but I 'think' the discounts applied to vinyl can be bought direct from the suppliers! Sometimes they have monthly specials so perhaps once you have decided what brand, contact a trader and see what monthly special is on, usually most companies will honour that discount regardless to what month it is and whether their offer is actually on!!
  20. Tackleberry - its all personal preference as to brand etc, but generally Hexis and 3M are the favoured ones. Personally prefer 3M and its slightly cheaper at around £19.99 plus the vat, think Hexis is a few quid more but you can buy direct from them without any probs. Lastability I found the Hexis white pearl Hx30000 series started to come away in some places on a customers car after a few months, used a sealit pen and it was fine, but touchwood never had an issue with any 3M wraps i've done (about 15 now!). My merc (well just sold it) has been matt grey metallic for a year now, been in snow and all sorts and still as new! Actually one of my first full wraps was a carbon fibre Z!! The matt military green hexis vinyl is part no. HX30VMIM and think its £32.11 plus vat per linear metre.
  21. Ive stayed at the Setai a few times with work, awesome hotel and great location on 5th ave. Also 'Giraffe' is another nice hotel a bit further south, about 8 mins down from Empire State Building. Chris
  22. I'd say around 13-15 metres presuming you are getting the 1520mm wide stuff (easiest stuff for you to use is the 3M 1080 series). Wrapped a couple of Z's and many many more cars!!! Worst panel to do on a Z is the tailgate. Also with the rear numberplate recess do the back part as a seperate piece of vinyl and lose the joins on the bends. Chris

    S5 or RS4

I've driven an RS4 (saloon) a few times and to be honest it kind of bored me. Didnt really feel special at all. I had a normal 53 plate S4 (4.2 V8 one) avant at the time and the interiors bar the lovely RS4 buckets and steering wheel was exactly the same. Don't get me wrong it wasn't slow by any standards but it wasn't overly exciting, not to justify an extra 10k over my S4. If it were me i'd opt for the S5, newer, cheaper to run and probably insure, plus with a Milltek fitted it will sound the just as good as an RS4! Chris
  24. Your right pics don't really do it justice! Looked on autotrader there is one on there for under 15k, 54000 mile black GT. From Keighley Sports, am sure i've heard bad things about that company though? Worth a peek? Also are there any 370 owners in the Essex area (Wickford or Clacton) who wouldn't mind me coming over for a peek?! Thanks
  25. I've decided to put my DC5 Type R up for sale, this is my third one, I bought this as a daily so I could keep the miles down on me Merc. The merc has now sold so going to be going diesel power now (eek!!). Anyway spec is below Championship White 74000 miles, still being used so may change slightly I'm the 5th owner, previous 2 were forum members from here Car is registered November 02 / 52 plate. Private plate will be removed before sale (doing it this week!) Black interior, bolsters are very good but not minty mint. Material however is great. Black EP3 alloys with good tyres Always been serviced at TGM. The following has been added to the car before I bought it Ferodo Pads Front / rear camber bolts Eibach pro suspension kit Energy suspension mounts Braided brake lines A recent full fast road setup at TDI, drives perfectly! Cat 1 remote alarm Spoon Sports Titanium gearknob and short shift Side window deflector thingies (not sure the exact name of them!!). Pioneer stereo Cusco rear strut brace Factory rear / rear side window tints and lightly smoked front tints Black crackle look rocker cover Carbon plug cover Since I have owned it I have replaced the front droplinks as they were a little noisy. A headlight ballast also packed up on me yesterday so have just ordered a replacement which I will fit. I have stack loads of receipts, loads of jap history (not a clue what it says though!), and I've also got the original owners handbook. MOT is due end of APril and Tax is June I think (lower tax bracket!). Everything works as it should, air con is great, no known problems with anything, starts everytime and I always let it warm up to temp before opening it up. This is my third DC5 and this one is just as good as the other 2! No syncro crunches when cold etc. Used as my daily which is only probably twice a week to my missus house (100 miles dual carriageway), so not 'really' a daily, just cheaper to run than the merc was (and loads more fun!)!! I get around 32/35mpg out of her and its always run on Shell Optimax. The car is in minty mint condition, zero dings or dents up the sides, no scratches, curb marks on the wheels etc. It has been very well looked after. Only bad bit on the car is that the bumper could do with a respray as it has lots of stone chips (was like this when I bought it, was going to do it after the winter as I was presuming I was keeping it). Price is £6995 reflecting the above. No part ex's or silly offers please, i'm very aware of what they are worth. No test pilots or dreamers, full ID to be given before any test drives. Few pics... Please PM me on here if you are interested. Thanks Chris
