HaHa, I've had another 2 s13s and a 14 since then, and a Discovery, Astra and 2 Series Landys, Micra went to the scrapyard in the sky, still into my landrovers at the mo but I bought my girlfriend a Eunos Roadster (MX5) and we're always over the Lakes camping so may have a look to this, obviously I wouldnt be expecting free camping etc... not being an active member of the forum.

Think Lexx has been pulled before for his exhaust but his is a 5Zigen and nowhere near as loud as the K1

Ahh the old exhaust job, Ive done a few of these, plenty of duck oil / WD40 and heat it up a bit, even with a little clarke gas torch, try and use a hex socket on it so it doesnt round off, its not really a problem if it snaps as its fairly easy to get to to drill out. Have fun

Cheers, I was gonna be having to make around 2k a month to cover all bills and pay myself a crap wage, that and the lease was for 3 years so if i couldnt get the work in i would have been stuck with the rent to pay!!

Sorry guys, the workshop fell through so we wont be opening an official place up, myself and the other lad are still doing our usual weekend work at a mates factory unit so can still do cheap work, exhaust fitting, servicing, clutches etc.. but wont be able to stamp any books, sorry, just pm me if you want prices for any work, gutted it didnt happen, back to the dole for me

From what I remember Phil saying, that larger section in the mid pipe isnt a silencer at all, its a resonator baffle to cut down on tinny vibrations, exhausts uk will be able to cut it out and replace it with a proper silencer and should give you what you are after Fletch

Yeah the zigen sounds really nice. ESR Y-pipes were direct replacements of the OEM pipe so any Y-pipe back system will fit it Fletch

Be careful cos the ring between the centre section and the backbox has a larger diameter on the nismo exhaust than the OEM one, the ring will be fine as they are a tight fit and are hardwearing, the gasket between the standard Y pipe and new centre section should be ok too, unless uve got a high milage car, if you can replace it then do, if you cant I wouldnt worry bout it.
