Really enjoyed yesterday's race, great driving from Nico, Jensen and Lewis. Really enjoyed the full race coverage from the BBC, I didn't think I had missed it but I had. Shaping up to be such a superb season, hopefully the McLaren boys can eke their championship lead out further.

Sorry chaps, away for a stag do that weekend. Promise I will do my best to attend the next one!

Owned the zed for about a month now, and I can't help but think that I bought the wrong car.
Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic, but it seems like it has too much power for uk roads. I mean, wherever I put my foot down, there's either a speed camera, or other cars.
Starting to feel that the power is unusable. Therefore the petrol consumption is pointless if I can't enjoy it.
I'm driving to nurburgring next month so hopefully that will change my mind.
I'm considering to use it learn how to drift. And then next year get something a bit more usable for roads and keep this as a toy.
Anyone else feel a bit like this?
No
I have never felt that the zed has too much power or its unusable on UK roads. The only thing id have preferred is if Nissan had altered the final drive, to lower the top speed and increase acceleration. Whats the point of having a car that could probably hit 170/180mph but restricting it to 155, when in reality your never likely to ever reach anything near that sort of speed in real life.
I suspect the reason for the long final gear is fuel economy. I doubt many use 6th for hard acceleration anyway, just pop it down to 5th or 4th if you need a burst of power.

Does seem pretty stingy, but I guess the market for thirsty sports cars is pretty limited at the moment, hence the low price.

I really wouldn't stress about it too much. As others have said just don't thrash the nuts off it and you won't do any damage. On a nice long cruise it will purr along nicely whatever is in the tank.

I bought some Tissue Regenix (TRX) in my SIPP yesterday after reading this:

Why? Because Neil Woodford has taken a 26% stake in the company. He's widely regarded as one of the best fund managers in the UK and he knows the pharmaceutical sector inside. At any rate, it sounds like an incredible product, if it really does what they claim.

No, its not true. They have 20bhp more.
MY04 276bhp, then MY06 (and gt4) 296bhp, then the MY07 has 313bhp
Fixed that for you

Yeah, I'm off Button - he's gone and done a Hamilton by not being patient enough behind a slower car
Vettel seems to have lost is mojo, or should we say his finger
Nice to see Webber doing relatively well though
To be fair to Button he's held his hands up and admitted the 'incident' was his fault. Also he's admitted it was a **** poor race and he should have done better. At least he's man enough to say it rather than blaming others.
I was disappointed in Vettel's reaction thouhg. I'd really warmed to him last season but I thought his comments were out of order. He has to take some responsbility for what happened.

I remember reading an article a year or so ago which tested the best speed for maximum fuel economy. Generally speaking the slower you go, the better the fuel economy. Even if that means pottering along at 30 in as high a gear as possible without labouring the engine. The thing about speed is that air resistance increases dispropotiantely the faster you go. Once you're over 30 mph it really starts to have a big effect. So the best speed on the motorway for fuel economy is likely to be as slow as possible.
The article also disussed the 56mph used as the benchmark for economical driving, and found that there is nothing special about that speed at all. As suggested above driving slower than 56mph will lead to even greater fuel efficiency in most cases.

Sorry I missed it chaps, my road is closed for the Sport relief Mile so I can't get out!

Cambelt and fanbelt was changed
Just felt I should point out the zed doesn't have a cam belt, but good luck with the sale.

Seem this many times before, but it illustrates the point brilliantly.

Shame LH wasn't prepared to fully share the team's celebrations.
Agree with this. I can understand he was disappointed not to get second (or perhaps even win) but on balance he now knows he has a great car forthe rest of the season which is a massive positive. Cheers up Lewis!

It's a bit overdone, but you could make that stunning for not a lot of money. The wheels in particualr are

Count me in for this

Looks like the first 'highlights' show on the beeb will be 2 hours long. Better than the 90 minutes originally suggested, they should be able to show most of the race.

I saw some white bentley wheels on a silver 350Z at Japfest last year, and it it looked horrific.

Really enjoyed tonight episode, good too see them promoting some British manufacturers too. Whether you'd buy one or not, you know those track cars would be immense fun.

My brother used to have one of these (unmolested), stunning car although I could never understand how they managed to get so little power of the brute of an engine. Sadly this one has been ruined.

Wow, I bet that sucker flies!

The only thing dodgy here is the lack of punctuation in any of your posts, makes them very hard to read.
