  1. Front spoiler? If so you could have a look here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=20901
  2. Should be better now, but still have some concerns over it. Seems to be at least searching now though.
  3. Yup - it takes a while to rebuild the search backend, and needs to be done at a quiet time so as to not cause a large slow down. Should be fixed shortly
  4. I see a couple of individuals that appear on the winners list regularly one has totted up over £2k in March alone. Not bad if you can play well I suppose. I manage to lose virtual money playing holdem on xbox, so I think Ill give the real thing a miss.
  5. What 4 options? Is it the preview / submit / save / cancel ?
  6. newly posted web links should now open in another tab/window..
  7. Thread for discussion of any dificulties, questions or errors on the new forum......
  8. Will lock this - just tested this thread with user permissions and it is truly fubar, so will open another for discussion.... New topic now here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20966
  9. On Internet explorer, the quick reply box is open by default - click the button marked "post reply", it is directly above the fast reply button Will sort the events organiser colour what colour would you like ?
  10. This is an addition that we can look to bring onto the new software too, but no timescales just yet.
  11. Will see if we can revert that back to new window.
  12. to get the smilies, quotes, and signatures working in this thread you need to click "post Reply". Then make sure you set the boxes below to the same as shown:
  13. Smilies and signatures are not working in this thread due to a technical hicup. If you click "add reply" (not fast reply) for your next post, you will see that "attach a signature" is not ticked, and "disable smilies" and "disable bbcode" are both ticked. Take the ticks out of the top two, and put one in the attach signature one, and everything should right itself with your next post.
  14. Thanks for that - have sorted those now
  15. There is a slight gradient to the background of the header bar - in order for the images of the forum logo and the orange Z not to stick out like sore thumbs, they have had their backround filled with the same gradient. There must be some issue with the way that the background image is loaded for the main banner that is causing it to be solid black, resulting in the other two images (whose background is fixed, and not generated from a 1pixel wide strip) causing the issue that Jay must be seeing. May struggle with that one as its coding for a mac browser, which may as well be Chinese to me.
  16. Jay - a couple of ways of sending PM - one is to click the PM link within the users post, or if you know the name of the person you wish to PM, then the steps are: click your PM box link at the top (will probably say 0 new messages) then click compose message (top left) in the white box that appears at the top left, you can add the users you want to send the message to - each one on its own line, then click the "Add To". You will then see their names appear in the To section above your message. Anyone you have added to your Friends list will appear at the bottom left, you can just click the ADD button next to their name to put them straight into the "to" section. Hope that helps Now whats this about the banner? I cant see what you are describing?
  17. Rob - good point, Ill see if we can get the category added as a column on the unread posts function Marzman - is it possible to post a screen grab of what your screen looks like and possibly put some notes on it, as I dont quite understand the "spaced out" issue. The forum does resize for larger screen resolutions, so perhaps it is that. Once I have a better understanding of what the issue is, Ill se if it can be fixed / altered. With regard to signatures etc on this thread, it appears that there has been a glitch when posting this thread, and by default BBcode, smilies and signatures are removed - simply flick them back on again when posting in here (use the add reply rather than quick reply, for your next post) and it should be back to normal. additions from a users perspective are: ability to report posts to a moderator - this can be seen by all mods, so no need to pm individuals ability to use extra Bcode buttons - such as the youtube one already added A beaten to posting review - if someone replied before you, then you have the opportunity to change your post additions to the way in which unread posts can be displayed - active topics, unread posts, new posts. "Print view" for topics, making for more efficient/economical printing of a thread Additional functions in the user control panel, custom folders for PM's, multiple recipients for PM's etc. There are also quite a few additions for moderating, which although notthing special from a users perspective, should make it easier for us to keep the place neat and tidy.
  18. Thanks for the comments ekona, we always knew it was a case of not being able to please everyone all the time, though you do make some valid points about the new pm colour etc. This is something that we can look into. With regard to the open feel, I think this is in part that the fonts have changed, and also that the pages resize to fit various screen resolutions. The restrictions on signatures etc should help as you say. This topic shouldnt be used as a great example though, as for some reason it does not seem to be working correctly, perhaps due to the timing of the post and the changes made shortly afterward.
  19. Congratulations - I remember the feeling of freedom well
  20. ZMANALEX has had login problems today, but hopefully they are now resolved.
  21. Yup - we can now see when bots are on, and they are managed a little more effectively so shouldnt cause slow downs.
  22. Ive done a redirect on a few locations, will see if I can get one done for the old unread topics path
  23. Guys - Im aware there are a number of issues affecting the board at the moment which did not seem to be present last night (or I missed them as I was getting tired). Am trying to resolve a number of these at the moment. Sorry for anny issues experienced at present, will try and sort them as quickly as possible.
  24. EDIT: This thread is now closed due to technical issues - discussion continues here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20966
