dannybz Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) I have noticed a fumey smell in the cabin and it's giving my a headache after about 20 mins of driving! Does anybody have any clue what this might be? I've just had it back from getting a a clutch and flywheel change. RobPhoboS Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 When the car is idling get a torch and some paper towel, pop the bonnet and check the fuel rail isn't leaking. At least visually check it first. BIG-COL Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 I had that horrible smell in my last Z, Nissan replaced the clutch, my car only had 4500 on the clock. RobPhoboS Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Good point about the exhaust guys (especially as it's only just happened). It's worth having gasket sealant on the y-pipe connections. Also whilst it's idling you can get your hand near the connections to feel air/gas if it's leaking there.
