Hi guys,

Some of you have expressed the interest in getting the polished coolant reservoir for the 370z and 350z HR. I've spoken to the manufacturer that did mine in US and if we can get 5 people in this group buy, we can get them at £350 delivered to your door in UK. Normal price is £375 delivered.

Here are some images with my reservoir and how we fitted it on my car:

That's a lot of money!!

In comparison with what? :)

does it fit to all the original fixings or is there some bodging required ?

also how do you check fluid levels ?

One of the coolant hoses needs to be blocked, that's all.

To check the level, you take the lid of and look! :D

Good point why have something made in America which can easily be made in the UK.

Save customers cash and sell more due to the retail cost being lower.

Because there's more demand over there for it ? Would probably cost more than that over here imo

Try getting a cost for the same quality but made in UK, you'll soon give up if you're not planning to make hundreds :)

EDIT:

We've been down this route before, remember the Vortech 1 Pipe stuff?...

True, but that requires specialist machinery to mandrel bend the piping, as well as supplying the MAF slot as well. The key is getting a trusted manufacturer, which is why the Vortech pipe fell on it's head. Making a coolant chamber out of flat aluminium and welded with fittings shouldn't cost an arm and a leg if made in the UK. No shipping or Customs to contend with.

Have you investigated anywhere in the UK? £350 for a coolant chamber is a lot of money for a custom item, which isn't even branded.

I could try and put you in touch with a couple of outfits in the UK.

Tried a few, some very unreliable spoke to them via phone, emailed, never got a reply, some super mega lazy which said no and some couldn't be bother when they heard we only need 5-10pcs.

Feel free to PM me some contacts, I'll try with them as well.

Worth a shot, saves the hassle and with the popularity of the 70 and HR now, there's probably a chance of additional custom if the price is in a lower bracket.
