richyrich Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi all, As title suggests, every time I unlock the door the window drops but doesn't go back up unless I operate the door switch. If I keep opening and closing the door I would end up with it completely open. I've tried a few of the reset procedures I've come across on this site but not sure which is the right one - what do you reckon guys - which is the right one, or will it be door card off? richyrich Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Bulletmagnet - I'm thinking that as well from what I've seen on here. Oh well - too busy currently so sometime in the new year weather permitting. First problem I've ever had with this car - still love it, and I get 50 SMILES to the gallon í ½í¸€í ½í¸€í ½í¸€í ½í¸€ Richyrich 1 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi Rich, Jump in the car, close all doors, ignition ON, don't start the car, pull door switch up and keep it like that for about 10-15 seconds, you'll hear a click. Then push down, same period, you'll hear click. Push the window up, open door, close door, glass should operate normal. Quote
richyrich Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Hi Octet, Tried that one - still the same! Richyrich Quote
GIXXERUK Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 ^^^^^ what Adrian said, reset This is the correct reset for the 370, done it myself a few times, has to be done if the door card is removed Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi Octet, Tried that one - still the same! Richyrich Try again now, I've just sent some positive vibes  Seriously, you're missing some steps, either car not with ignition on, either one door open, or not waiting enough time... Quote
Piranha Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) I have had a similar problem in the past even with a new motor fitted Both windows drop a little to allow for clearance when opening the door, both windows are linked to this operation Sometimes they get in a muddle and the problem is fixed by lowering both windows fully then closing fully followed by closing the door locking and unlocking locking the car. When unlocking again the problem is resolved This may help you however these windows seem to have all sorts of gremlins so I've recently become very anal bout my windows Hope u get it sorted soon Edited December 15, 2014 by Piranha Quote
Ebized Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I had this issue once when the battery had been disconnected - but did the reset and all was fine. Which has made me wonder if you disconnected your battery for a short while and reconnected and did the reset whether that may clear any lingering memory issue in the motors? Quote
richyrich Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Ebized - that's my thoughts to be honest. Might be able to try this tomorrow- I'll let you know the outcome. Thanks Rich Quote
richyrich Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Problem sorted í ½í¸€ Just as Piranha hinted - ignition on, but don't start engine (don't really think this would matter tbh), lower BOTH windows, hold for 10secs, raise windows and hold for 10secs and all now ok - simpleí ½í¸ƒ Thanks guys.
