centre console removal - stuck

Presuming you've taken all necessary bolts out retaining the central and mid console sections.

If so, pop your fingers behind the triple gauge cluster and give it a firm yank. Not aggressive but firm.

+1

Apologies if you've already seen it, but this is by far the best step-by-step I've seen for centre console removal: http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/

Just wondering if previous owner has glued it in - on mine the catch at the top was worn so can be a bit rattly - solved with strategically placed hidden blu tack ! Hopefully sorted when the dipped replacement gets fitted btw will have a centre console (no cubby door) and Gear surround up for grabs next month or so - watch the for sale board!

Pull towards you only.

It probably has never been removed and therefore a night tight.

Pull it, what's the worst that can happen, apart from your entire dash coming away lol.

If you follow the lines of the central dash you'll feel that edge at the top. Get your fingers placed on that edge/lip and pull towards you, head height so to speak. But take into account there's a wire that connects the triple gauges to the dash, so don't pull more thank 10".
