leebottrill
Im taking my car for its first service next week. Its always been done by nissan, but i hear horror stories about their incompetence on a regular basis on here. Im taking it to a good local garage, who will stamp etc. My question is, should i be weary of anything? and should i advise them of what needs doing? or should they know? I've never needed a car servicing before so i'm not in the loop yet! Also does it look bad when i sell my zed that the fnsh has gone? jimboy2
Can you not get it to a specialist? If I was the next buyer of your car I would prefer to see a specialist stamp rather than your local "speedy spanners" You will also get a better service Where are you located? I'm sure someone will know of someone local-ish to you
rabbitstew
Id be very wary of just any old garage who probably has never even seen a 350z before and their YTS cant wait to get out on a test drive in it. From personal experience the only person I trust with my car is myself. If its something I really cant do then I find a local specialist. tatooandy67
Depending on your location and how far you're prepared to travel if you don't want to pay main stealer prices CS 'cougar store' in Leicester is very highly regarded on here, I'm taking my baby there for her p3 this month, if that's too far from you there are other member traders on here that offer services at competitive rates and as they're all members here they are all familiar with zeds
Ridz
If you know a local garage that you trust, it would be useful to take in a copy of the Zed service schedule for that particular service, so you know it has been serviced in accordance with Nissan requirements. A good local independent garage or Zed specialist who will look after your Zed is the best option.
keithvmx1200
I have just bought a 2006 with full history and its only done 25000 miles but the last three services says intermediate I guess its because it had not done many miles since the P3. What is a P3 and is it expensive. I live in Gloucester so can anyone tell me my nearest honest and inexpensive garage who knows how to service a 350Z or is there no such garage. Regards keith

KUGT4
from my experience - ANY garage can be good/bad - independent and francise even if you find a good one - it can go bad
tatooandy67
from my experience - ANY garage can be good/bad - independent and francise even if you find a good one - it can go bad ^^^ absolutely agree, I was using a local Indy for several years with no complaints, good service, attitude, prices etc then out of the blue they employed a 'new' mechanic who basically turned a couple hour job into a 3 day fiasco leaving me stranded with no car, followed by having to return there several times to chase them about repairs for damage their mechanic had caused ..... Needless to say they were well and truly sacked, fortunately for me when I next needed a mechanic I was pointed in the direction of a very good Indy specialist on here
