dombooth
Hi, Looking at picking up a Zed with pretty low mileage and in great condition but it says this in the description... 'has an exhaust blow on a flexi-joint' Difficult to fix? or expensive? Thanks guys,
ZMANALEX
Probably means flexy joint on "Y" pipe. Either fix or replace. Not difficult or expensive. Alex.
Ekona
Basically, it means the flexi joint on the exhaust is shot and needs replacing. Cut it out, weld a new one in, job's a carrot. Sub-£100 easy from anywhere, really you shouldn't be paying any more than £50 but it does depend on the garage. Get the seller to fix before buying, or haggle a good £500 off for the ballache of getting it sorted yourself.
dombooth
I know a guy who could probably sort this for me then, but the car is a good 100 miles+ away... Can you drive it that far how it is now? I will try and get the guy to get it fixed for me and say that upon that I'll stick a deposit down, Thanks for your help guys! KyleR
It's fine to drive, it'll just sound a little weird. If it's only a little blow it'll sound like there a lawnmower under the car, if it's a big blow the car will sound awesome
