Hi,

Looking at picking up a Zed with pretty low mileage and in great condition but it says this in the description...

'has an exhaust blow on a flexi-joint'

Difficult to fix? or expensive?

Thanks guys,

Basically, it means the flexi joint on the exhaust is shot and needs replacing. Cut it out, weld a new one in, job's a carrot. Sub-£100 easy from anywhere, really you shouldn't be paying any more than £50 but it does depend on the garage.

Get the seller to fix before buying, or haggle a good £500 off for the ballache of getting it sorted yourself.

I know a guy who could probably sort this for me then, but the car is a good 100 miles+ away... Can you drive it that far how it is now?

I will try and get the guy to get it fixed for me and say that upon that I'll stick a deposit down,

Thanks for your help guys!

It's fine to drive, it'll just sound a little weird. If it's only a little blow it'll sound like there a lawnmower under the car, if it's a big blow the car will sound awesome
