dunker Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 I mentioned this event to a few at JAE and so have decided to elaborate. Fighting torque is an event mainly geared to TVR's by a friend of mine. It will be held at our active airfield (home of the awsome Apache attack helicopter!) in Wattisham, just outside Ipswich in Suffolk. The date is Sunday 12th August, and will comprise of several timed runs over 3/4 mile down the main runway. The organisers have said that we are welcome to run several cars together rather than just one on one. It will be covered by Autosport magazine and is a closed doors event. Follow the link for more info! http://fightingtorque.org/supercar/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 I will hopefully be in attendance with both the Zed and my Apache!! A nice photo opportunity!!

dunker Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 Well it turned out to be an awsome day with some very powerful (and light) machines on disply, including the Auto car press car. A very nice yellow Lambo Murcielago!!! A couple of tasters for you. The only other jap cars were a GTR and an RX7.
Sarnie Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Nice SO what happened? Is that you on the line with the TVR? Did you win? I was very tempted to go to this as a lot of the TVR boys were giving it the big un on Piston Heads............I however....... decided that I like my clutch in one piece

Well I hadn't planned to run, just help out. However my friend who was running the event and had his TVR Cerbera there asked me to give it a go...so I did. Now I am about half a mile down the runway at 120 and I am red lining thinking what the hell is up... then it dawned on me..... how about changing up from fourth to fifth!!!! Doh! anyway, some more shots...
Sarnie Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Whats that car on the line with the Noble. Looks like a fat elise/exige? So was there an overall winner? Was there any Ferrari's there as they were getting a slating on PH's??
dunker Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 Its' and Ultima. Those two cars were the fastest on the day although the lambo got the highest terminal speed at 176 mph
