I've had a set done (with clear strip and internals painted) and are letting in moisture now. Is there anyone reputable on here who can split/reseal headlights? Cal Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Who did them originally for you? Husky ages ago, but some paint vapour started to appear, I left it for ages and got a local guy to do them... Although they looked great, they leaked terribly... Had another guy have another go, and now they just mist up. Not ideal. I have heard of people heating the existing seal without opening them. If there's a small gap that might be enough to close it and solve the problem No existing factory seal anymore mate. May have to just bite the bullet and get facelifts. Quote

BulletMagnet Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I noticed when I re-lacquered my bonnet, that vapours will develop. And will continue to do so for days, that's why I guess you're not to polish or wax fresh lacquer for a month so it can have a chance to gas off. Quote
