Kerry
I've got a Z on a 54 plate and the gear changes are a little notchy going into 2nd and 3rd. Someone told me later models had a better gearbox and that it would be worth changing mine, is this true and if so from what year did the gearboxes change? GIXXERUK
it maybe better to try changing the oil and adding molyslip, this seems beneficial to the 350z, a few members have tried this and have noticed an improvement pm zmznalex / clark motorsport - they sell both the oil and molyslip http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/207-clark-motorsport/ Edited January 27, 2014 by GIXXERUK
KyleR
Are you getting grinding going into any gears? If not them just change the oil and adding Molyslip as Gixxer said As for the CD009 boxes. There is no exact way to determine which can has them and therefore what year to look for from a breakers etc. I do expect all HR's (2007+ with dual intakes) to have them and a number of 2006 facelifts. But without looking for the part number on the box you can't guarantee anything.
