Hi guys,

When I owned my Honda Civic I bought these Integra DC2 seats for it, along with genuine Takata harnesses. I think they'd look great in my Z and I'd like to fit them. Am I right in assuming I'd just need some Recaro rails for the Z, and they'd bolt on to them, or?

It'd mean removing my heated leather seats, is there any bits of loom I have to disconnect and take out, etc?

Thanks,

Joe

Yes you will need Z specific rails to fit the seats. You can buy some universal bottom mounts and modify them as required which might even be cheaper (I take it its bottom mounted).

Disconnect the looms under the seat and that's all. You will need to make an airbag resistor to cancel the airbag warning light and restore the rest of your airbags

Thanks mate.

Some of the best seats I've ever sat in these and some of the most simple, lol.

Haha definitely man, they're the nicest/comfiest/simplest seats EVER.

I have accord type r seats in mines. Custom rails though.

Where'd you get your rails from? I assume you made some custom changes to universal ones? But if not, lemme know. Really wanna get these fitted!

I used the honda rails and cut the legs off my electric leather seats and welded them on. Lot of faffing about tbh but couldn't get rails that would fit.

Would like to see these in a Zed, although imagine the colour combo might not work for some!

Hopefully will put them in mine, just making my mind up whether it's worth replacing the heated leathers lol... decisions decisions.

Here's an example of what they look like against a blue car, my Civic at an earlier stage of it's life:

I was going down the red on black route with my zed before I sold it - these might have suited it :)

Think I used the heated seats in my Zed all of about 5 times in about 18 months of ownership...

I'm looking to buy a set of DC2 Recaros, I loved them back when I had a DC2. Does anyone have any sound advice about fitting them into a 350?

Thanks

Never mind, an hour or so searching and found two sets.

and Recaro's own http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan/2003_2008_350z/interior/seats/seat_bracket/recaro/reca00900248.html

Hope this helps others

Bit of a thread revival here, but I think I may have found the exact rails needed to fit Recaro seats in to your Z. It's a UK website too, rather than the US ones I've stumbled across.

http://www.nengun.co...rame-seat-rails

If you scroll down slightly, you'll see the Recaro rails for Z33. Judging by the pictures, it looks as if they come with the airbag delete too, I copied an pasted what I found from another forum with the same sort of thread but indeed they do come with the airbag delete, see > http://zclub.com.au/forums/index.php?/topic/5003-sr3-recaros-in-350z/ < (to disable the factory seat-mounted side airbag without affecting the other airbags in your car). Seriously considering buying them and fitting my DC2 seats now. :D

if it helps I have a set of cloth seats you could have for cheap and then can butcher the frame to suit your new seats, that way your leathers wont need destroying either. Drop us PM if interested
