SamN
I had my Zed MOTd at halfords and a couple of other cars. As long as you stay with it It's fine but I wouldn't want one of the monkeys taking my car out for a 'road test'. They charged me £12 on top to adjust my headlights on the Zed a couple of months back which annoyed me. It's one bolt each side and I had to re-adjust them a couple of weeks later as I couldn't see a thing! Still £40 all in so couldn't complain. rabbitstew
From personal bad experiences with various national chains like this, I wouldnt let them touch my car with a barge pole. Last time I MOT`d my zed I found a local specialist garage who specialised in performance cars and who I got good reviews for. They handled my car with cotton gloves and the most uptmost of respect. Sure, it cost me the full RRP MOT price, but id rather pay that than have peace of mind.
sloutrou
Doesn't this hold true with main dealerships too? I think Nissan constantly gets a bad rap for the mechanical service side of things, when at the end of the day it comes down to the level of competence of the staff. My car ONLY goes to a dealership, regardless of cost, and the guys there do a great job. I get a hire car, free coffee and leave feeling like I'm a valued customer. My wallet is always appreciably lighter than going to an independent, and they even fitted my Milltek Just saying, the company who's badge is on the front of our cars should have a fairly good idea of how they should be maintained....or am I wrong? You would have thought.... but again, in most peoples experience, it varies wildly from dealer to dealer. Ive had good & bad experiences at Nissan garages, unfortunately 2 out of 3 were bad. Meeerrrk
I think it depends on the actual branch. But I've used the one in Farnborough for 3 different cars, 4 MOTs in total and they have been very good every time. I'll be going back that's for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yampiedog
Good price at the moment £27. Just wondering if they ok on MOT? Any one done business with them? Just done my 08 Jeep and passed with no advisories, they even swapped the spare tyre and tyre pressure sensor over for a small price. Good service too.
