It took me longer than expected due to only working on it on Saturdays only working on it in fair weather! If I had the luxury of a garage it would have been done much sooner.

I would definitely recommend giving it a go yourself; this is the first car I have ever decided to work on for some reason. With the mentality of, the worse case scenario is a new engine followed by I could save a fortune in labour costs, spurred me on. Ontop of that the self achievement at the end of it all. Surprisingly it was remarkably easy(ish) to complete in fairness (easy to say now in heinsight) but learnt a lot,

Thanks Alex for his speedy delivery of parts at a reasonable price too, thoroughly recommended!

So good to finally get a good drive in it, I thought it was amazing before I had the issues and now it feels even sweeter after. Mod planning will slowly start, albeit subtle to begin with.. :)
