Anyone got a pic of the bonnet grommet/stay?

Hi all,

In the wind this morning my bonnet rod fell, slamming the bonnet shut and snapping what appeared to be the grommet or stay that the top if the rod rests in.

Does anyone have a pic of what it should look like, or a pic of the inside of the bonnet so I can recall what it should look like?

Thanks :)

Jez

I think he means the inverted 'cup' which isn't actually for the bonnet stay - it's for the bonnet alarm switch, it depresses the rubber-booted switch that's by the brake fluid and washer bottles.

Not that it helps now, but there's a 'hole' in the underside of the bonnet with an arrow pointing to it, which is meant for the bonnet stay/rod.

Forgive me if i've totally got the wrong end of the stick/rod (literally).

I'm off to look for a pic...... :snack:

That's the one! Bugger, I always thought that was for the bonnet stay, not anything to do with the alarm.

Could someone enlighten me as to how it is fixed to the bonnet, all I seem to have now is a separate white piece of plastic where the domed cap used to be?
