Handbrake

Hi, thought this would a common question but couldn't find anything. I'm thinking of changing the handbrake and gear lever etc, found the guide for the gear lever but not for the handbrake. Is it simple? Will any universal replacement fit or does it have to be specific?

Not done it myself, but I think you need to chop all the rubbery plasticy crap off the last 3-4 inches off the handbrake, then the new one will slide on and fit with grub screws.

 

Not sure of the internal diameter required unfortunately.

It was one of the first mods SMD & I did, bit scary at first but read the guide first and take your time and it's worth it in the end
