TomLum Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Hi all, ive used the search function but couldnt find much. Ive recently got my Zed (2004 model) and it has the lovley forged Rays as stanndard. However the rears look a bit lost in the arches and im wondering how much I can space them at the back before I get rubbing issues? What would people recommend for the front too? Thanks, Tom Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Tom, 20mm front and 25mm rear is tried and tested, available from us here - http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=30 Quote
Arran Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Im running the eibach 20mm front and 25mm rears, stance is perfect and im sure its had a positive impact on the handling. got them from CS Quote
wmr1980 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Bear in mind you'll be adding more unsprung weight, and could potentially alter the handling characteristics. Quote
Arran Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Its around 2kg so barely noticeable and seeing as rays are so light its still lighter than other wheels and spacer combos the pros far outweigh the cons do it Quote
TomLum Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Thanks for the info guys! I take it I will require longer wheels bolts? Quote
wmr1980 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Fair point Arran - it is subjective though, they do look better with spacers no doubt there. However, I'm not convinced that they're affect are "pros" Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Thanks for the info guys! I take it I will require longer wheels bolts? The spacers come with new studs pressed into the spacer... Quote
ATTAK Z Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Pretty standard set up for aesthetic results Quote
Arran Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The pros are a better fuller look with 50mm increased track overall at the rear and 40mm at the front overall, they do make the car handle better imo Quote
4RE Leather Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The pros are a better fuller look with 50mm increased track overall at the rear and 40mm at the front overall, they do make the car handle better imo Stick 275's on the back as well like I did. Car is really planted lol Quote
Y23DRH Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Im running rays lowerd 30mm 25mm spacers front and 30mm rears sits perfect Quote
TomLum Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 Im running rays lowerd 30mm 25mm spacers front and 30mm rears sits perfect Interesting. Do you have any rubbing issues? Do you have any photos? Quote

I'm sure you guys know more about it, but once I've worked it out I'll join in on the spacer bandwagon! Quote
