Even Falken themselves describe the 914 as an economy tyre! The 452s have sloppy sidewalls, vague feedback, and melt as soon as you give them any stick. 453s are, by all accounts, far superior, and probably worth a punt right now seeing as how the VUS are out of production. I would expect 30 to make a big difference to ride but I would bit a bit concerned about tyre flex in cornering and breaking and possibly more tram lining.
